Update: This works great!
Update: The seller reached out to me and sent me a replacement. My MAC Book recognizes these and I am able to use it with no issues. I have been using the replacement for months now but just getting around to writing an updated review. This item only worked for my MAC BOOK once. My mac book no longer will even recognize this device. I had I missed the window to return the item. I would not recommend.

If you got a new Mac Book Pro, you should get 8 in 1 USB C Multiport Adapter
I got a new MacBookPro and I realized that I can't connect any thing to it.New MacBook Pro comes with USB-C ports, so I was not able to connect my screen and other devices which used before. I was glad I found that hub"8 in 1 USB C Multiport Adapter, with 4K HDMI"It was easy to connect and all my external devices started working as before.I recommend that hub to anybody who upgrades to new "USB-C"-only Mac.

Great for the price! but has some limitations
This is a really great product considering the price and features. The standout feature on the USB adapter is the audio output for plug in earphones. Another nice feature is the memory card readers. This device will charge and power you laptop or tablet through the USB C socket. There are a couple things that it does not do. It does not power USB devices alone while plugged into a USB C charger. I tested this on a slide scanner. I use this device for my iPad Pro and iPad Air. I would not recommend plugging in USB devices that require alot of power like external hard drives, MIDI keyboards, or external DVD drives. It works excellent with USB wireless mouse, keyboard recievers and thumb drives. The hub chord could be longer for plugging this into tablet it hangs and could put strain on the socket. This hub does support 4k output; however, it does not support display outputs like High Dynamic Range (HDR) and Dolby Vision. If you have a 4K 120hz television and computer or tablet that also supports HDR, Dolby Vision you may want to purchase Apple’s USB C HDMI adapter (Which I already own). I tested this hub with different HDMI cables and there is no diffence in connection for HDR and Dolby Vision options. The Apple adapter supports HDR and Dolby Vision is also why it is so expensive. This is a great device for the price and features I recommend it.

Connection
My prior dongle I was using would lose connection each time the wire was moved or touched so I decided to try this one out and I'm very happy I did. Works great and no issues with connecting cables.

Great addition!
Bought myself an Apple Macbook Air. It doesn’t have USB ports and I need that to put information onto my computer from my flash drive. This allows me to do that and so much more. I'm very happy with it. Even my husband keeps stitching it to use. Might be time to buy him his own.

Finally as described
Finally, a product that actually works. If only the cord was a bit longer and it had another USB3 port instead of the almost completely useless SD card reader

2 months, went bad
Worked well for one month. Monitor started turning off and on briefly. After two months HDMI now quits with a light touch to the unit. USB C port stopped working altogether. A similar unit is acting faulty, as well. I guess this grade of tech just isn't robust. My IT guy warned me.I used two different monitors, different cables, and a new Macbook Pro. I know how to troubleshoot.

Great way to add ports to computer
This works great for my new Mac that only has two ports. I use a lot of USBs and cords when working and this allows me to have it all plugged in at one time.
