OSRAMSylvania 64417 Mp100/U/Med Metal Halide Lamp

The bulb shines through. I have used metal halide for years. They're not all created equal. This particular brand and company makes a good product. A good bang for your buck!

Thus particular bulb didn't work but return process was easy.

the lamp that came with my driveway fixture was very *blue* in color temperature. this Sylvania lamp has a much more natural *white* appearance and is much more pleasent. i like it.

Haven't had long, but works great. Perfect replacement bulb. Great price as well.

Even though these are being phased out, we still have customers who refuse to switch to LED's saying they cost to much. Us being able to still get these bulbs is a blessing.

The original bulb gave a bright white light and that was the main reason I purchased the fixture. I ordered this bulb as a spare back in November and my original bulb finally went out and I installed this Sylvania bulb and it is yellowish in color, not the bright white as metal halide bulbs usually are. Very disappointed and unfortunately I can not return it. Do not buy this bulb if you want a bright white light.

This is supposed to be a metal Halide bulb which should emit a pure white light. This emits a yellow light similar to regular incandescent or high pressure sodium bulbs. At twice the price of the generic Chinese bulbs this should be better than them not worse!!! The generic Chinese bulb this one is replacing lasted 3 years of 12 hrs/dayx365 days a year emitting beautiful pure white light. Now this one is sticking out like a sore thumb! Back to generic Chinese bulbs for me.
