The media could not be loaded. My husband and I bought a fixer-upper. And in order to save money we have been DIYing everything. We took down a closet in our house and we had closet doors that I up-cycled cut in half to use as shutters on the inside of the house. I used this barn door hardware and attached it to the old doors/ shutters. It was super easy to install and the glides roll perfectly smooth. We will be renovating our basement soon, and I already plan on ordering another set for down there!

This barn door kit is relatively easy to install. The only dislike I have is that it is too smooth, if that is even a real complaint. What I mean is that can allow the door to wander more than I would like. I would prefer a texturized surface to create more tension and hold the door in place better. Otherwise, they are great.

I made a set of sliding barn doors for my closet and used this hardware after helping my friend put up his sliding barn door. This hardware set is very easy to put up IF you have an impact driver!!! You definitely need one as your drill even on the highest setting can’t get the job done without bouncing off of your screw and hitting your header or the wall. I’m SO happy with this purchase! The only downfall was the rail came slightly bent so I had to bend it back in order to straighten it out, but you can’t really tell now that it’s on, thank god. If you’re looking for the right hardware, look no further! This one is worth it!!!!

The product appears to be ok with the most noticeable exception of the drywall anchors provided. Unfortunately, the holes in the bar will most likely not line up completely with the wall studs. The anchors are way too tight to allow the provided mounting screws to pass into. When I went to screw in the bar with the provided lag screws, they simply rotated along with the screw making them useless. I had to go purchase wall toggle bolts (not black to match) and had a heck of a time getting them inserted into the wall because you can't find toggle bolts long enough to allow for inserting with the spacers needed. Very upset about wall anchors. How do you not provide wall anchors that actually work with the screws provided???
