Hansen's Field Guide to the Birds of the Sierra Nevada

Well written and organized. It has almost all of the birds found in the area. Having birdied in this area, this is a great resource for anyone living in the area or traveling through and wanting to know what bird they are looking at.

This is a nice supplement for your collection if you live in the Sierra Nevada area, or have a field guide addiction.I wouldn’t get this as your only guide but it is nice to refer once back at the house.

This is a really great book. We’ve been enjoying just sitting out on our deck and being able to recognize all of the different birds we see around us all of the time. From little ones to big eagles and hawks!

I happened to encounter Keith at his shop in Bolinas. What a super interesting person, what a great shop, and WOW what a remarkable artist. If you ever get a chance to meet him and/or see his shop in Bolinas I highly recommend it. He is brilliantly conversational and yet humble and curious at the same time. Five stars for sure.

I actually bought this book when it came out.out standing with no regrets . I don't tend to carry a field guide but after 65 plus years of birding I carry a small spiral bound note book for field notes. I find that if you need more than this book you will never be happy in the field
