Notifications take over an hour to receive
I have two WiFi cameras from Soliom that I installed over a year ago. The cameras themselves work alright, although the PRI sensor range is barely what is advertised. The biggest problem with them is they fail to push notifications to my phone of an event sometimes for over an hour. By the time you are notified of an event it is much too late to react. This problem makes them pretty useless if you are using them for securing property. I have have three other WiFi cameras from a different manufacturer in the same general area that push notifications immediately. And these other cameras cost a 1/3 of the Solioms. I would not recommend them After writing this review I was contacted by the manufacturer who provided a full refund for this camera. They were very responsive and concerned about my problems with their camera. Although the camera did not work for my situation, I am impressed with their customer service.

This is our 2nd one!
The media could not be loaded. We purchased our first S100 in January of 2021. At that time we lived in a VERY cold climate and that camera is still going strong even in the heat of SC. It has always kept a charge (in both locations). Our 1st S100 is located approximately 25 feet from the back of our house and roughly another 30-40 feet to the router, which is in the front of our house. It NEVER loses connection! We had a 2nd S100, that did not perform that well and lost connection all the time. That one we purchased at the end of 2021 when we moved south. All this time we thought it was our network, but did find it odd the 1st one never lost connection. After awhile we just gave up and it sat in the garage for a year or so. Last week I thought I'd give it another try and locate it in the front of the house closer to the router, but in an effort to charge it, I broke the USB plug. I reached out to Soliom, asking if there was any way to repair it, as it was long out of warranty. BTW not the first time I have reached out to them for customer service and every time they provided FAST and GREAT customer service!.... Anyway, they said it could not be fixed, but if I purchased a new one they would refund me a certain amount (which I will say was generous). This new S100 purchased in May of 2023 is working GREAT! The one not getting great internet connection may have been a dud, but HEY they backed it up with great service. I really should have reached out earlier when I was losing connection. Long story short (well not really short). HIGHLY recommend this camera. Great videos even at night. We have caputured some cool videos (see attached).

Good quality
Everything is working like it should! Set up was easy just follow instructions in the booklet. Installation was not that hard just had my husband put it up since it was too high for me lol. Night time quality is good too! My pictures just look a little blurry only because my wifi signal is a little low, but I'm planning to get wifi extenders for it. I love how you can change the setting for the camera as well. Have it record for 15, 30 or 60 sec every time it detects motion. You can also change sensitivity so it won't catch all motions all the time. I used a Mico SD card for this and it's working great! There is live video and a play back feature. The sound quality when I talk through the app is good and I can also hear the other person on the other end good too. So far so good, my camera just keeps turning off and I'm not sure if that's because my wifi signal is low or it's turning off completely. When I turn it off and on again it connects just fine, will update after I get wifi extenders to see if that was the problem or not (4 star revew for now )

Much better than the S60
Love the idea of the sun charging a battery-operated camera. Significantly, better that the S60 in every way. The S60 fell short of expectations with respect to wifi signal strength, app funtionality, picture quality, battery life. The S100 and the new app seem to have overcome all the S60 shortcomings. The picture detail and the wide range of the view offers the ability to seen most of my yard. The S100 has a motion sensor light built in so that when the camera is activated at night, I have a clear view of the yard and anyone in it. The camera is easy to install and the solar function works well. The app for my phone was easy to install and allows for both audio notification or silent. Cloud storage is available for a reasonable price.

Soliom S100 - What a solar camera should be!
The media could not be loaded. This is the 3rd Soliom camera style I own and by far it is my favorite. Yes, it looks like a short stubby little airplane but it has everything that a solar camera should have. The solar panels are attached, so no need to buy a separate attachment. The camera angle is wide, the widest out of the other two that I own. It does have a spot light but I prefer to use the infrared instead. The spot light tends to blur the picture quality a little bit, while the infrared doesn't. The camera reach is adequate, so motion detection at 26 ft or less won't be an issue. The cloud service that you pay for is cheap, cheaper than buying an SD card. Speaking of SD cards, it does have a spot for that and in my experience you should get one as back up. I've noticed that at times with the Soliom cameras that I'll get a notification of movement- I'll check the cloud service and won't see it but if you toggle to the SD card it'll be there. All in all, I bought this through a lightning deal and I'm extremely happy with this purchase.
