What is a OEM hood pin

Im unsure of which hood pin you are referring to. However, all the connections needed for installation are compatible with the OEM ODB2 connection under the driver dash. This is the same connection that a dealership would use to run a "check engine" light check. The main "programming box" included in the kit has a connection that plugs into the back of that ODB2 connection. Then the original harness that connects to your ODB2 port plugs into the harness they provide. Hope this helps. If not let me know. Good luck.

Can this remote start turn on your engine while hooked up to 110vac or 220vac?

Assuming you mean for a hybrid vehicle, I can say for sure, but it seems that it works independently from the rest of the electrical systems. BTW, I FRICKIN LOVE IT !!!
