This is an early review without the benefit of quantifiable user experience. After reviewing many consistent negative reviews on several $400 range recumbent elliptical trainers, I decided to invest double the amount for the LT3. I received shipment of the Teeter LT3 on 8/1/2026. The packaging was superb, well protected and well organized. The assembly was very straightforward and easy. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. All the small components (screws, nuts, etc.) were individually packaged and numerically marked to match the corresponding Step in the instructions. After decades of assembling complex Ikea items, this was quite a pleasant surprise. The materials are solid and the product is well designed. First impressions of usage are excellent. It is easy to adjust the seat for leg length and back position. Elliptical pedaling is very smooth and extremely quiet. The basic digital readout is adequate (time, speed, distance, calories). There is a placement holder for a pad. We’ve mounted a large screen TV for use during workouts. I’ll provide an updated review after one year of use.

It was a little difficult to assemble and the instruction manual was confusing, BUT, this equipment is worth it!!! As a heart patient, it is a great way for me to exercise everyday. It is very similar to the rquipment I used in cardio rehab. And, it is easy on joints. BTW, the customer service is excellent.

This, LT 3, was the best packed multi piece item I've ever seen. A great packing job with everything marked for easy assembly. Their assembly instructions were written by someone who had actually assembled the product and put the instructions in simple to follow order. With a helper the assembly was easy and fast. The machine is well constructed and simple to use, Like any exercise machine it's only of value if used. I selected the machine because of a back problem which limits the type of exercise I can do. This machine exercises your arms and legs. The level you exercise is set by you and can be adjusted as you progress and increase in strength. The machine is silent, not a whisper, so late night exercise is not a problem. The machines one fault is it's LCD 3.5" console. It's to small for most of us unless you have perfect eye sight. It would be nice is the offered a larger screen for this model. With a larger console I would have give this LT 3 a five star rating.

Very little indeed to complain about with this product. Very solid throughout, with excellent assembly instructions. Yes, as many noted, some of the screws are difficult to thread correctly at first. Operation is as advertised; changing settings for different sized family members is quick and simple. By contrast the shipping, though fast, gave the impression that the box had fallen from more than one truck in its journey: compression bands all gone, edge tape badly frayed here and there, and some dents in the heavy cardboard. All's well that ends well! ADDENDUM: after a couple of months and many hours on the machine, I can say that it works well for me as a whole body exerciser. As a set of muscles gets tired, another set seems to fill in almost automatically. None of the major muscles are overworked; all get some work, with the partial exception of the legs in the front, as there are no cleats or straps to slip one's feet into and pull up with. Nevertheless I get a good overall workout. A very minor annoyance was a squeak in the arm bars which was easily fixed with some oil spray; now it is totally silent. Bottom line - I'm using it regularly, with no danger of injuring my ancient stiff joints.

it is not hard to put together. the paper instructions are very good, just follow them in order. it is working really well. it is box really good. it will take some patience to unbox but will be in perfect condition. use your own tools. for you people who cannot pound a nail in the wall to hang a picture pay someone to put it together. it is well built and quiet. in my opinion it is way better than cheaper sun models.

I love this machine. There were a lot of pieces; however, the instructions made it simpler to assemble.

I love this machine. It costs a bit more than a basic exercise bike, bit it's way better. It's not a bike. It is easier to use. Most any level of fitness can use this. I got it after I had hip replacement surgery. It is similar to a New step, but the foot pedals have a slight circle motion. It is easy to use. I have arthritis in my hips and knees, but using this machine does not cause pain, in fact it helps to keep me moving. It has different levels of tension. I do wish it would have more leaves, but I haven't worked my way to the highest. The arms can be positioned a few different ways to work different muscles. You don't have to use the arms, but it gives more of a work out if you do. Seat and arm are adjustable. I am in my 60s, and I believe it would be good for seniors. It is totally quiet. The digital screen can be hard to read at times, but that's not a big deal. You can find videos online that help with assembly and work out ideas. It's heavy duty, so I believe it will last a long time. I would recommend this for most anyone. I really like this machine, therefore, I use it more.

I recently developed a spine condition, so I was looking for a machine that would be gentle on my spine. The FreeStep LT3 is just perfect for that. At first I was concerned, because the machine I received had a huge dent in the frame, and some scratches on the inside of the flywheel. I spoke to Amazon, and sent them a photo, and was told to return it to them in the original package and they would refund my money. However, this machine was so well packed, I was not able to repack it in that way. Amazon offered to give me a $100 coupon as recompense. I then wrote to Teeter, and they immediately responded. They asked me to continue assembling the product and assured me they would stand by their guarantee if it didn't work properly. Thankfully everything worked as it should, and I am so so happy with my LT3. I use it every single day, and my body feels more relaxed and agile.

The instructions on assembly are easy to follow -the bags of screws are labeled for each step. It will take about 2 hours to put together

This machine is very good, easy to use and quiet. Easy on my bad knees.

I got my machine and my husband and a friend put it together in 2 hours. So I started using it 3 days ago. It is a very well made machine and strong. Right now my right foot is not up to par yet as at the end of April /24 I broke 3 major bones in my right foot, so in May/24 I had 2 foot surgeries to repair the broken bones. I still have pain with that foot. So I ordered foot extenders to stabilize my feet on the elliptical, which I think it should be provided with the elliptical machine. But over all the elliptical is smooth and very quiet. So far I am doing quite well with it.

While t did take a long time to get, it did arrive within the time frame given. By following the instructions closely, it went together without any problems. It's easy to use, very stable and so quiet that I can watch the TV without raising the volume.
