This wire is nice and flexible which allows easy routing from where the window installer pulled the wires out from the frame so I could extend them to the new edge sensors. After extending the wiring, I used heat shrink tubing to keep them neatly together. This fine wire was perfect fit. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Well worth the money. *by on Reviewed in the United States August 11, 2026* This is my first time writing an amazon review, so bear with me. I bought this wire to keep around for various projects. I tinker, restore, and repair a lot of different stuff so it's worth having some different sizes of wire around. I bought this since it's silicone insulated, and should hold up to lots of different environments for a long time. Comparing it to standard 24 AWG wire, the insulation is ever so slightly thicker, but it's barely worth mentioning, but the internal wire size is correct. It took solder no problem for me. I decided to try it on a computer fan that had very short leads. I carefully unsoldered the original leads (which were the 24 AWG wires I compared this to) and soldered the new wires onto the fan. It works fine and now has enough wire to actually use for something without splicing. Seems pretty durable and resilient, the heat of the soldering iron didn't bother the insulation at all. I have seen that happen before where the insulation is damaged on super cheap wires from soldering. It is very flexible since it is silicone. I highly recommend it.
