Amazing game made for Couch Adventurers
I wanted to wait for the steam sale to buy this game but then again I am on a limited bandwidth connection, so I decided to just buy the physical copy, and I thought it would look good with my Tomb Raider collection. I got the game within the estimated date of arrival and no complains regarding the packaging, it was perfect. There were two disks and a warranty card in the box. The game started to install after I put the first disk and entered the steam code. Took ten minutes for disk 1 and then 5 minutes for disk 2. Then the game had a roughly 2GB update which downloaded while I played Arkham City. Took a couple hours(250KBps). My Rig: -i5 6400 -8GB RAM -Asus Strix Nvidia GTX960 4GB -Monitor 1440*900 19inch -Windows 10 Anniversary Update The game runs flawlessly on High settings with no lag. Benchmarks show an average of 60fps, the lowest it fell was 30fps which is not a big deal. At Very High setting, a prompt came up saying that it'd use more than 4GB of VRAM so I did not play in Very High setting. But it looked great in High so no problem. The story was similar to the first game, but still fresh and intriguing and suspenseful as ever. The tombs in the last game weren't very challenging but that changes here, there are more tombs and they're pretty challenging but not as much as the original games. Combat system has been greatly improved along with stealth mechanics like hiding in bushes and on branches of trees. There are number of different bows and arrows, different pistols, revolvers, rifles and shotguns too. Enemies are more active and more difficult to beat. They'll check hiding spots to find you. One entire sequence of the most difficult enemies in the game in the underground city was very intense. The game teases more to come and I cannot wait for the next installment. I haven't played the DLCs yet so I'll edit this if I play them. Also lot's of reviews say the game is short. If you play it in one sitting, yes it is, but I completed the game in three days on moderate gameplay with moderate exploring. If you explore a lot, the game will take longer. In short, it's a great game, optimization is great and great new entry in this franchise(I know that was a lot of 'great's). Can't wait for the next.

Gorgeous cinematic experience !!
Tomb Raider games have been around since the mid 90's. Fun gameplay and puzzle solving levels made it such a great franchise but since the 2013 reboot aka "Tomb Raider", the game has approached more of a cinematic adventure like the Uncharted franchise. ROTR delves more into climbing/shooting/miniature upgrades and with refreshing narrative makes it a joy to play. The environment is the strong highlight of this game, its just jaw dropping to see photo realistic back drops when Lara is busy climbing or stealthily taking down enemies. P.S. - You really need a beefy PC to play this game unlike the 2013 game which was optimized really well.

Expectation meets satisfaction
Really nice game. A combination of adventure and tactical war. Graphics are good and sometimes reaches 4gb GPU memory usage on high texture mode, which can be an issue if u r using a 4 gb card like gtx 970. Other wise it runs smoothly at an avg of 58 fps and max of 85fps at max settings and HBOA + enabled. As the game is concerned, the story is good , although the previous version of the game was more intense and engaging. Movement and targeting systems are very fluid, but sometimes Lara simply slides of the edge and dies. The world is truly beautiful and mysterious and the post process makes every moment fit for a desktop wallpaper. Voice acting is also intriguing with some really memorable moments. My biggest disappointment was the length of the games it didn't even survive a week and I completed almost all the challenges. Maybe because after playing a game like Witcher 3, other games do feel small when in comparison. Overall verdict, it's a must buy for croft fans and if you are new to open world game, this is a must buy. Just make sure you have a next gen PC to play the game with its full glory...

Buy only if you have a great graphics card!!!!!
Bought and played the full game the story is good but the graphics are too heavy and I only get 20 fps even though I have a 4gb graphics card of amd and 16gb of ram and i7 processor. Be sure to have a nvidia gtx 960 before you buy this game or your gaming experience is going to be a draggy slow 20fps gameplay.

Best Tomb Raider yet
Loved this game to the core. A great adventure game with puzzles and action all the way. This is the first expedition Lara goes through as the Tomb Raider. Pros - - Graphics are truly amazing. Nvidia hairworks is a technology which makes the hair as beautiful as possible. Other than that the scenic beauty is mesmerizing. - Great plot. The creators did emphasize on the story as well. - Collectibles can be collected, so that increases the play time. - Amazing puzzles throughout the game. Cons - - The game engine is not very neatly optimized and hence I was getting 23-25 FPS on an HD7770 card. - Gameplay was a little monotonous at times, but it wasn't a big problem.

The game is awesome. 5/5
The game is awesome. 5/5. But currently it does suffer from lags and occasional frame rate drops when everything is maxed out. I'm using a gtx 970. I'd recommend this game to anyone after a few patches. Cause this game looks awesome too. But these issues could annoy us at times. But it is also playable in medium high settings.
