Strong double sided mounting tape.
EXCELLENT! I purchased a roll in 2018 and I just finished it in 2025. Awesome for so many projects and hobbies.

Was the only solution to work! Used on rock, primed first
After trying many different ways to secure our metal address sign to our uneven rock-face garage and having them all fail, I discovered this tape. We decided to give it a try before completely giving up. The issue was that the rock siding on our garage was bumpy and uneven, making it difficult to get enough contact in one spot. We didn’t want to drill because it would crack the rock. I attached this mounting tape to the back of our address plaque and said a prayer. Well it stuck on to several small contact spots and it amazingly is holding on tight! It’s clear it’s on there for good and it won’t be falling down with a loud crash anytime soon. Our sign weighs 1lb, has a smooth metal surface that has been painted. I will say that we did paint the area on the garage with primer and let it dry a few days before attaching our sign. This was based on a recommendation from the local hardware store when we were trying to attach our sign using a different method, but I still would recommend cleaning the surface, tracing your sign onto the wall, and painting with a little primer and let dry before attaching for maximum sticking results, especially on surfaces such as rock. But I am so happy with this product and it saved the day!

amazing
this tape is great for so many applications. I have mounted all of my surge protectors on the wall with it so there are no more cluttered wires and boxes everywhere, its all neat and accessible. its really strong. Since I do a lot of home projects on my own I dreaded having to mount something, especially because I am short, so it was a real juggling act trying to hold the object up and guid the screw and then drill in the screws. I dont use it to mount things and say its good though. For instance I used it to mount some component shelves, but just to assist. I placed a few strips on it, placed it on the wall and then had 2 free hands to easily drill in the stud lags. It isn't a fix all, hang all, mount all tape. which is why some have reviewed it as weak, because their expectations are way to high. If you have to mount something heavy its a good assistant, like your second pair of hands, but if you are trusting it with something heavy, or valuable dont. put the lags in and make sure its secure. Although if its light and it wont be catastrophic if it falls then it works great on its own. I have it holding up my security system pannel on its own, and I can put around 10-15lbs of pulling pressure on it and it doesn't even budge. I even once dropped a drill on the top of it and it is still good to go. if you are looking to mount stuff with ease then look no further.

Is it possible to love tape?
This product is the best. I found it a few years ago, and I’m now on my third roll. Works great! Has yet to disappoint. BTW: you will need a scissor to cut it because it’s that strong.

Worked for putting up clear plastic sheets over the windows for winter weather proofing.
I used it to put up clear plastic around some older windows on the outside of the house I rent. I cut the tape in half with a razor knife to make it go farther. Interestingly enough, it sticks to the house better than it holds the clear plastic. It does hold the clear plastic OK, but sticks to the siding or window frame better. It holds the clear plastic better than the double sided tape does though, which is what I was going for. I'm not sure though if I have found "The Perfect Tape" yet for putting up the plastic sheets over the windows yet but I will keep trying things until I find the perfect brand or tape for this project.... Any body have some solid experience with a brand or type of tape or anything else that works good? If so, reply to this review and let me know your thoughts! Thanks!

Fantastic outdoor mounting tape in an economy size!
Same as the regular 3M outdoor mounting tape, just in a larger, economy size! I use this stuff on odd surfaces, such as brick, to hold HEAVY objects. Once stuck, it will not just fall off. You may need to press hard, depending on the surface, and it must be clean! For example, if the brick is crumbling, then it will simply crumble off, and you'll have tape on the ground, with crumbs of brick on it. Smooth/flat metallic surfaces work very well. I've used this to mount things on plaster walls, but beware: it's STRONG! It could remove some of the wall if you're not very careful peeling it off. Never just pull on it. It must slowly peel off, but it does come off. It's a brilliant product! For durability: I have a set of brass house numbers - 5 of them with a dash - about 6" tall. Each number was applied to our home's brick...about 15 years ago! As of today, they're still out there... through 15 seasons of cold, hot, rain, snow, etc., and they're not even loose! Yet, if I wanted, I could peel them off and not harm the brick.I highly recommend this product for mounting projects

Awesome!
This stuff is great. The value is tremendous.... The price per inch is less than half what you would normally pay for this tape in smaller rolls. And at least in my case, I needed quite a bit of tape. I ordered the Kidkusion Toddler Edge Kushions (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000MHX9P4/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_89) which is a great cushion (we are using it to soften the corner on a brick fireplace seat),that comes with double sided tape (not very much). Replacing the tape that came with the cushion with this tape was like night and day. This fireplace seat goes across the whole wall and is made of old stone. It's smooth to the touch, but the surface is porous and irregular so most tapes do not stick well. The tape that came with the cushion was 'supposed' to be heavy duty, but it started failing right away. My 10 month old son grabbed the cushion and pulled it (with the tape) right off of the stone and started pulling it all the way down the seat. With this tape, it is very firmly attached. He's one and half now and he can't even budge it. Very strong tape that works as advertised.
