Does the lid have a “closed” option?

This is the most beautiful carafe I have found in US. It’s simple and good quality. The lid does close.

How many cups of liquid does this pitcher hold?

Thanks for your question, this glass pitcher is 80oz, can hold up to 10 cups, 1CUP about 236ml.

I know this says you can use it on the stove, but it also goes on to say to use a low flame. My question is can you use it on a glass-top stove?

Thanks for your question, this pitcher can be used on the gas cooktop, gas hob stovetop, glass-top gas stove is ok, but not for electric cooktop.

Can I put it directly on a gas stove to boil water?

Yes, you can put it in gas stove to boil water, but small fire is recommend, and don’t fill too much water to avoid overflow.
