FSC 6,7,8 Speed 116L Bicycle Chains, Silver,Gold (1/2x3/32-Inch)

Got this for my 1990 Cannondale Black Lightning which I've been doing some much needed refurbishing. It has a 7 speed SunTour Sprint 9000 shifter and the original chain was gold to go with the black and gold original color scheme. It shifts fine and looks great!

Chain looks great and sheds weight over traditional chains. I cleaned mine right out of the package. Some of the gold coating flaked off but doesn’t seem to affect the appearance or performance. They flex laterally more than the Shimano and KMC chains they replaced. From the pictures you can see I have them on both 7- and 8-speed Shimano groupsets. Starting out at 4 stars- will follow up in time to see how long they last and upgrade to 5 stars. I haven’t put a ton of miles but I’ve really hammered on the 8-speed Giant with nothing adverse to report. Shifting is fine with no adjustments needed. For now it’s a recommend due to the great price and beautiful appearance 🤜🏻🤛🏻.

The quality of the metal is pretty flimsy, I installed this on a 1987 bianchi 7 speed and within 8 miles of a ride the chain started skipping, I noticed a link had started to pull apart, luckily I had brought a chain tool and was able to connect the link again, after a few more miles it started coming apart again. I had to take out the bad link which had shortened the chain quite considerably. I have it on a new cassette and the chain ring is in very good shape, so I know it's not the drivetrain. I was very careful about installing the link with the chain tool, but I wish it had a master link because the pins seem to go in too easily in my opinion.

update: worn out and skipping, after no more than 300 miles. I am 200 pounds, and all trail use...but still.very pleased to find a gold derailleur chain at a very reasonable price. made an old Huffy trail bike look really cool. shifts wonderfully with a new 6 speed cluster. thank you.

This was Delivered today & I am in the process of rebuilding by rear hollow axle on my e-Bike So I added the chain cause the old one had @ least 1000 miles on it.....I like it so far once the bike is up & running again I will know more....!! Strong looking...!!Thanks...!!

Not quite as shinny as i hoped for, but it is a nice chain and the tool is a great bonus. Ill be installing it on a 1x8 drivetrain.

Although it was supposed to be a perfect replacement, the chain links were slightly smaller than the original links and caused the gears to skip. This was on a GT Aggressor. The tool got hung up all the time and the half the handle broke off. Not a great buy. Maybe you'll have better luck 🤷‍♂️

Well I got the silver hollow link chain and I installed it and took it for a test ride. I was getting a little bit of chain jump when putting down the power. This is so not my 1st chain I've installed and my bike is a 2020 specialized allez that is 8 months old. I clean my chain very good once a week so I know my cassette is not worn out.
