This anti-splatter pad (basically a really big scotchbrite pad) will prevent splatter. Hot oil, or thin ATF can and will splatter if falling more than a few inches, especially if it hits the big smooth surfaces in the corners.

A: Short answer, no. It is designed to fit the funnel of an oil drain service cart. Actual opening is 6".
