NoroTsubame 11 Oyama

I've knitted many blankets using Noro's Tsubame yarn. The yarn is so light in weight, yet very cosy and warm. I had already knitted a blanket in #06 Wakkanai, and had two cakes left over, I was lucky to come across the same colorway on Amazon, I ordered another two cakes to make a second blanket. The first blanket in Wakkanai was knitted in seed stitch, it was large enough to fit a queen size bed. The second blanket will be knitted in a cut diagonal pattern giving an almost 3D textural wave look as seen in the second photo.

I thought this was going to be 100% wool.I will use and love this yarn regardless. Noro is a favorite yarn brand of mine. It's kind of a happy accident cause I'm generally buying a different weight and fiber

I already had a ball of this yarn, so I knew I would like it. I really want to comment on the seller. Incredibly fast shipping, and the yarn came with a free stitch older, the free pattern for the yarn, two candies, all in a nylon mesh bag. This yarn is gorgeous and excellent to work with. Makes for beautiful entrelac knitting projects. I would have given five stars but there was a knot in the middle of my skein, which altered the color transition! For yarn this expensive, knots should NOT be a thing!
