I knew whole purchasing this that it was only the sponge and it is a cheap, good quality filter system. i bought a air pump and some tubing for $8 making this filter only about $13. Lasts longer and is pretty easy to set up.

Does not take up space in the tank ; an give you Clear water

I would recommend this for a 5 gallon tank doesn't do much for my 10 gallon. Had to get a all new filter for my 10 gallon because the one it came with the filters are no longer available so now I have this and the new filter just installed today. Both went in my all snail baby tank.

This filter works great, arrived ok, and never comes off the air line. But the weight is just an ounce or so too light - so the filter loves to float around in the bubbles and current. I’m using this in a sump and transfer it for quarantine tanks so this isn’t critical but I know this would be an issue for most uses.

It does the job great! It actually came with tubes and a regulator and adjuster!

Had to modify it a little to be able to run an air stone. Would be more suitable in 5 gallons and under in my humble opinion.

THERE IS NO WAY FOR THIS FILTER TO MAKE SUCTION. THIS IS COMPLETE AND UTTER FALSE ADVERTISING! ALSO, WHEN YOU CLICK ON THE OTHER ONE STAR REVIEWS, IT SAYS THEY ARE NOT THERE!

This is not a complete filter. You need to buy additional parts for this product to work. It was my own fault but I believe this could have been made clearer.
