Review: Excellent Performance - The PS3 was truly in excellent condition and arrived quickly on the expected day. I'm thankful for the delivery process and driver in bringing the PS3 in one peace. When I attempted to purchase a new PS3 the first time but failed to arrive, I was a bit hesitant in purchasing another one. After some time, I decided to try again and was thrilled to see the PS3 arrive. Like a child on Christmas Day. lol Well, this was supposed to be a birthday gift for myself in July ever since my last PS3 got accidentally busted and hadn't been able to play since 2023 I believe. I tried out the new PS3 for a week to see if everything was working properly. My sister and cousin came over and invited them to play together, which altogether was a wonderful experience to relive the memories in playing the games. After the week, the PS3 was working as it should, no humming, quiet, doesn't heat quickly, and it's all around perfect. Thank you. Review: Happy with purchase - Looks brand new. Works great so far. Iā€™m really glad we bought it ## Features - New slimmer, lighter PS3 system - HDD for storing games, music, videos, and photos - Streams thousands of movies and TV shows instantly from Netflix - Built-in Blu-ray player with 3D capabilities. I'm still amazed at how brand new it looks and well packaged to. If you can always get the warranty, then you really can't go wrong. FYI... You only get the console. **Q: Does it come with a power cord? What cords do you need to purchase separate?** A: It does not come with a power cord or HDMI cable. You can pick up both for not a lot of cost. **Q: Is it with a controller?** A: No its just the consol. You have to order a cord too. **Q: Is this one backwards compatible?** A: No - this version is not backwards compatible. ## Customer Reviews ### āāāāā Excellent Performance *by L***R on August 17, 2026* The PS3 was truly in excellent condition and arrived quickly on the expected day. Iā€™m really glad we bought it ### ā Honest truth.... *by A***D on July 10, 2026* AS others have also stated, refurbished was poorly done, after having it on in a 20oC environment temperatures of this PS3 refurbished consoled soared up to 80oC touching the power supply was like almost like touching a 100oC hot kettle, the console is also very dusty all over and inside the ports and vents. Go figure it would get hot. I used to think refurbished meant clean out and replacement of parts to get it to work like brand new, in fact that's the meaning of it, but seems like a lazy job is all. The bright side is it did turn on, but feel like its durability will wane fast with that dust and heat build up but not to mention the disk drive was very gritty and seem to not be smooth on disks. This would be a good console in a very cold country where all your library is digital. It has no controller, no power supply, and no HDMI cable it's just bare PS3 slim console with model - Cechy 2501B. That's the same model where CMOS battery is on the motherboard, and you will have to do some serious pro digging into the console just to replace it, figured nah I'm not keeping this for almost 250 dollars I might've kept it if it was $50 then I could spend 200 to fix it up properly. Appearance-wise Sony did a rough job on the PS3, it's ugly and what it should've been was all silver and either shiny like chrome or satin silver dry fingerprint resistant casing and filled with better internal hardware for cooling function. I wouldn't say value for money on a refurbished console is good at 245 dollars give or take including shipping but like many of you since the PS3 store is closing down I wanted to own one so I could buy some games, but then again since Sony are phasing out physical media I no longer want any digital games to go with this console. My best advice is if you are a rich professional fixer, you can get these consoles refurbished and fix it up yourself, if not then it's better to just either emulate them on pc or get a brand-new console if you can and see if you can hunt some physical media down because the PS3 and Vita stores are closing forever and digital won't be available on the PS3 anymore neither will the online mode work. ## Frequently Bought Together - Sony Playstation 3 320GB PS3 Console Only (Renewed) [video game] - AC Power Cord Compatible Sony PS5/PS4/PS4 Slim/PS3 Slim&Super Slim, Xbox Series S/Series X, Xbox One S/X, PlayStation 5 PlayStation 4 Power Supply Cable Replacement - OKHAHA Controller 2 Pack for PS3 Wireless Controller for Sony Playstation 3, Double Shock 3, Bluetooth, Rechargeable, Motion Sensor, Remote for PS3 (No Stripes(Black + Black)) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - šŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** ā€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - šŸŒ **Shop Globally** ā€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - šŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** ā€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - šŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** ā€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - šŸ”’ **Secure Payments** ā€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ā **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** ā€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sk/products/244399646-sony-playstation-3-320gb-ps3-console-only-renewed-video-game](https://www.desertcart.sk/products/244399646-sony-playstation-3-320gb-ps3-console-only-renewed-video-game) --- *Product available on Desertcart Slovakia* *Store origin: SK* *Last updated: 2026-10-02*
