Very impressed with this screen. Got it for my motorhome. The way it pulls up and down is super sturdy! Only weird thing is the hanging parts are kinda in the front so it tilts forward a little. But over all great product!

High quality, very fairly priced, easy to install with a couple of bolts through our garage attic ceiling. It operates smoothly and is strong and sturdy. Good buy at very fair price.

I JUST took this out of the box. My initial impressions: Perfect. It's exactly what I need. I have the 50" model. It's about 44" long closed. It weighs nothing. It'll be [almost] perfect for my travelling sales job, where I give presentations to prospective partners on a regular basis. Pros: 1. Lightweight 2. Compact 3. Nice size that will easily pack into my work car (an Impreza) without sticking out or being cumbersome in any way. 4. You can open it part-way; no need to open it all the way if you don't want to. Cons: 1. It will need to sit on a table. It would be nice if I could park it on the floor and raise it to viewable height. It would require about 20" of black "screen" be added to the bottom. 2. I tried to see if I could park it on a stool (a perfectly flat/level surface) with the ends hanging off, and have it balance itself on the center lock lever/"leg" in the rear. It will *kinda* do it, but it wants to fall forward. It would be great if there were a couple of molded-in flat spots in the center to prop it up if it has to hang off an edge somewhere. I'll need to buy a portable table for this just in case my client destinations have no such thing available. All in all, it is perfect for what I need it to do - although a simple alteration (or two) to the design would be worth paying an extra $15 for. The lightweight/compact qualities also might make it <seem> a little bit "cheap". Whether or not it actually is cheap will be determined by how it holds up for me on the road. Bear in mind, at the end of the day the unit was a grand total of fifty bucks, shipped. I'll be happy if this thing holds up to 20 uses at that price. Conclusion: At the outset, I'm impressed. I'll update this review if anything goes terribly wrong.

Works as advertised on complaints.

The screen works as advertised. I use it nearly every day, and the retraction mechanism works well. I hung above a window it using two small hooks. I live in a small apartment, and the screen does not use up any wall or floor space.

The product itself seems solid and thankfully arrived functional, but the shipping and packaging were a big miss. The box showed up split open and heavily damaged, and the item had visible scuffing and wear on the edges, likely from coming loose during transit. I understand carriers can be rough, but packaging is the seller’s responsibility, and this didn’t feel secure enough to properly protect the product. Because of that, what should have felt like opening a brand new item instead felt like receiving something already worn, which is disappointing. Overall, the item works as expected, but the condition it arrived in and the packaging quality leave room for improvement.

Piece of cr*p. Bought this item at the beginning of August and it has failed as of last night—08/21/25; used item for less than two weeks. Screen no longer retracts into the housing. Last night, I pulled screen down and was watching a movie when I heard the screen roll out further and then a thump at the end when it came to end of screen. A dark border of around 6 inches was now visible at the top of the screen that was not there before. After this, the screen would no longer pull-out when pulled for the retraction. Do not buy this junk! Beware also that in order to get a refund, Amazon requires you to package the screen in its original box which is now impossible when the screen does not retract. Also, Amazon offers pick-up only for this return because it’s such a large item. It’s a catch 22 since you cannot package the item for it to be picked-up so you’ll not get your refund on this return until it is returned. I had to call and ask them for a workaround

Why I Bought This We bought this Pyle 100-inch manual pull-down projector screen to go with our new smart projector and wanted something simple, reliable, and affordable that would noticeably improve image quality compared to projecting on a wall. First Impressions Right out of the box, we were impressed. It arrived in a long box with the screen rolled up (not folded), which meant no creases. We took it out and were able to use it immediately. The screen material is white, soft, and feels well-made, with a clean black masking border. Performance After Real Use The screen pulls down smoothly and locks easily—just a slight tug to stop it at the height you want. To retract it, you pull it down all the way and then slowly guide it back up, similar to window blinds. It works as expected so far. Even our 10-year-old son can open and close it on his own without any issues. The picture quality is noticeably better than projecting onto a wall—colours are more vivid and the image looks sharper overall. Excellent, very east to install just two screws for the hooks to hang on and great quality. There was a smell at first but it's gone now. Thank you

This little 50" screen is awesome! I needed something small and portable for a slides scanning project in my small office. For the cheap price I thought it would be flimsy and junky but it's not! It is well designed, sturdy, and in spite of being narrow, it actually does stand up on its own without falling over. I'm amazed at that. Due to space limitations, I placed it straddling 2 storage/bookcase units. Although I tied the top back in case it fell over, it was completely unnecessary to do so. It stayed put on its own no problem. See pics. When not in use it collapses into a neat, narrow little tube for easy storage. The spring is strong, you have to be careful opening it. Once extended, 2 scissor arms lock it open. It can easily be picked up and moved with one hand. The screen surface is excellent and shows my projected images very well with great detail. The screen itself is not 100% flat, but the 2 minor waves in the upper outside corners have no effect on image quality. You can't expect something that rolls into a tube to be perfectly flat. All in all, I very highly recommend this unit to anyone wanting a small, portable solution to a good quality projection screen.
