Works really well! It takes a little bit for little kids to get the hang of it but is really fun and simple! Also it contains a booklet that has different designs in case you don’t have any right away. You can use any design or drawing you would like! Overall great quality buttons and makes a great gift especially for tweens!

Update Aug 2025: After my initial review the company contacted me and thanked me for my feedback and said they're using it to redesign their product to be more user friendly. They offered a refund. It is rare for an Amazon seller to offer good customer service and I appreciate this. For this reason I am changing my review from a 1 star to a 5 star. I admit my initial review was a bit harsh and was a product of our frustrations. I am hopeful their new design will solve these issues. My daughter does like making her own buttons. Initial review: Bought this as a Xmas gift for my daughter. What a waste of money! The machine is very complicated to work and you have to be extremely precise in the set up and operation. On top of that, the buttons are barely 1/2" across. The plastic covers also scratch easily and cloud the image. God forbid you jam the machine. Takes an engineering degree to get it unlocked. Would not recommend. You're better off ordering custom buttons online.

This button maker was easy to assemble. However, it did not come with any directions to design buttons, so it took me several tries getting the right size made on my software and pressing the buttons for them to look right. After several attempts and failed buttons made finally mastered the art of button making through trial and error. Wish there would have been directions on design. A 3 inch button maker does not necessarily mean you design your inserts with a 3 inch template. Quality has been good, but with it being plastic, i feel like it could break easily if you press too hard. Because it’s made of plastic it made this button maker, more lightweight, and easy to pick up and move.

(btw the photo is of my bag only using this pin machine!! let me get this straight. i don’t buy garbage. nor do i rate garbage 5 stars. i bought this on a whim because i wanted to decorate my bag and ITS SO WORTH THE PRICE?? if ur a teen like me it comes in clutch so much!! i’ve brought it for club actives and it holds up well. the instructions are very helpful and it comes with some extra paper:) they are larger than usual pin machines but i prefer it that way!! tldr: amazing product and soo worth the price!! get it NOW!!

This button maker has been my go-to for everything—bachelorettes, baby showers, bridal showers, themed parties, you name it. There’s a bit of a learning curve at first, but once you’ve made a couple, it totally clicks. Watch a few tutorials and don’t stress if you mess up the first few—it’s part of the process. A few of the button backs that came with it were duds (like the pins popped out), but overall, no major issues. There was a bit of black gunk—looked like grease—in the tray when I first opened it, so I just wiped it out. As for cutting out circles, the cutter it comes with isn’t great—I ended up shredding the paper underneath. Switched to using my Cricut with print and cut and honestly, game changer.

I GOT THIS YESTERDAY AND I LOVE IT SO MICH AND I ALREADY MADE SO MANY PINSS!! it works just fine and it’s very easy to use. You just have to press really hard on the lever to make it work. It’s really fun to use and the pins come out looking good. For size, I got the 32mm which is 1.25 in inches. I showed how big it is in the pictures I took. You should definitely get this pin maker and also I’m gonna guy again some point in the future to get another size as well😼😼🥹

4 stars because it doesn't make the clicking sound so you risk the chance of the button not being completely together. I just made sure to press all the way to complete the button and it worked every time except for the first 6 that I messed up because I didn't press the handle down far enough. Also I am missing 6 metal backings and 13 transparent sheets so now I have extra pieces that I have to buy more of. Otherwise, the quality it great

This solved a problem for me. I was looking for giveaways at my musical performances - keychains, lapel pins, etc. But then I'd be locked into one design if I wanted to buy in bulk to save money. My sister suggested this, what a great idea. Easy to use, and they include EVERYTHING you need in the kit: the machine, the metal buttons, the plastic safety pin backs, the clear plastic covers. AND they even included a cool little circle cutter with an extra blade - so all you have to do is print out your images in the right size and away you go! Thanks for solving my problem, saving me money, and unlocking my creativity. I'd give this 6 STARS if I could!
