Worked well for me
I did the fins under the hood of my truck. Some areas were really bad and if they are completely smashed in then you won't be able to fix them with this tool but I felt the tool worked great. I did the entire area and the tool had very little wear on it. You just have to be patient and make sure you have the right size and make sure the teeth go between each vent. After a few minutes of getting used to it you'll breeze right through whatever you are using it on. Just a tip... Start the tool in an area that is undamaged then pull across the damaged area.

ie=UTF8&psc=1 I wish I had taken a before and after shot but I honestly did not expect the excellent results that I got
This product worked very well for my evaporator coils in my apartment. I used this paired withhttps://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DM8KQ3I/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1I wish I had taken a before and after shot but I honestly did not expect the excellent results that I got. I am unsure how people are breaking these and claiming that they are brittle? The FINS are brital, people! The negative reviews have to be people that did not correctly choose the tool with the same "fins per inch" as their unit's have. Take your time. For really bad bent fins, use a toothpick to somewhat place it correctly then go over it. I would rake slowly until I hit a spot with bent fins; I would then use a soft prying motion every time I met with this resistance. That motion directs the fins to be pushed out (toward you) instead of pulling and tearing the fins by forcibly raking through the bends. That will tear the fins permanenetly inhibiting the system

waste of money don't do the job
This product is a waste of money because NONE of the different size combs fit ANY the fins of ANY of my window units. and even if they did, they don't straighten anything that isw even slightly mashed. if mashed you're going to have to do it the way you always did, with a thin knife blade, carefully and one at a time. using these combs on flattened fins will just rip them right out.these only work MAYBE, IF fins are slightly bent, not mashed at all, to straighten them an nth degree more, which NO ONE is ever concerned about because it's like tuning a piano but it's an air conditioner for chripes sakes and doesn't need piano tuned.

I was better off using a putty knife and a disposable plastic ...
It kinda works. I needed the 20fin/in comb but it ended up catching two fins at a time. It is hard to get the teeth to align with the spaces between the fins. The plastic is cheap and softer then I expected. I was better off using a putty knife and a disposable plastic knife to realign the fins.
