A Catholic Organist's Book of Offertory & Communion Music

This is a great collection of music for playing at Mass. Pieces not normally found in other collections. These may be used as Preludes and Postludes too. Solemn, sacred, and prayerful pieces. I absolutely love this book. It will be used regularly.

This book is a very good idea. Short instrumental pieces needed during offertory and communion. The nicely structured book. Seven one-page pieces, twenty two-page pieces, sixteen pieces 3-4 pages long each. Famous composers. However, many of their compositions present in this book are not the most impressive. Maybe 15% are fun to listen to. Also, some pieces are not religious. Chaconne and sarabande are forms of dances. Soon after purchasing this book, I purchased a similar book with Adagios, where 90% of the pieces are nice to play and to listen to.
