Our son loves Spongebob and he loves Legos, so really what more could I ask for?I will say that the size of the completed product always surprises me in relation to what we pay. Legos are expensive, but my boys love them, and I like that they are using their imagination as opposed to playing a video game or watching TV.This product is adorable, strange word I know, but it is! The Flying Dutchman looks like a little worm or caterpillar, I know on the show he is a spirit, and his ship is here in all it's green and brown glory! My son loved the windows, and the pirate flag, so much so that he asked to watch Pirates of the Caribbean.For the price, this is a great addition to your lego collection, and if you like Spongebob, it's a must.I do think it requires more dexterity than your average 5-8 year old probably possesses, but I had no problem putting it together.

This was a fine kit for my 7-year-old son, who is a fan of both Spongebob and Lego. The price was more reasonable than many other Spongebob sets. The detail is more than sufficient for him, and the ship was fun to build (I helped him put it together). I thought the part where the treasure chest is buried is rather clever. A piece hinges to allow you to "dig up" the treasure chest. He enjoyed playing with it after it was built, though we had to keep fixing the mast of the ship (it came apart when played with).

Grandson is going to love this for Christmas. Box looks a little small, but quite a lot of fun and imagination inside the box. Also is receiving another lego too, so small box will work out. Need to buy some more SpongeBob legos to go with it too for more imaginative play! Great gift.

I often play legos with the grand kids, but after awhile the sets are usually taken apart to make other creations. This set has a firing cannon and a treasure chest. It also has four of the windows and matching arches that work well for castles. There are four rocker plates that we've used to create false walls in other structures we've built. The set also contains eleven brown smooth topped pieces that work great for planking and floors. There is a half barrel and there are other smaller but quite useful pieces. If your looking for a set with the larger bricks this isn't the set you want. There are only two of the regular eight nobbed bricks (2 rows x 4). However, for someone who already owns plenty of bricks, this has a lot of smaller versatile pieces. This is the second set I've bought.

My eight year old loves both, so this was a win-win. And he even saved up the money for it, so it *must* be good.

Do you know what the best part of being a parent is? Getting to buy "your kid" legos and playing with them yourself. That's basically what I do every Christmas and this one was not to differ. This set is a little on the small side, and I had it together in just a few minutes. My son managed to tear it apart in even fewer. In which then I pulled the "just put the parts in the box with all your others, I'll put it back together when I have time" on him. But in reality I'll just use it to make a Humvee or something.

I am the mom of three boys so we have had alot of legos. This was for my youngest son. I put it together for him and it was simple compared to so many other lego sets. Plus he did not tear it apart right away. Four days latter and it still in one peice!

The box was ok, but inside, the packages were opened! Missisng pieces! Could not assemble. And... i sent it to Brazil, a gilt, now cannot return it. Unbelievable!!! It made my 5 year-old nephew cry a lot! Terrible Christmas experience!!!! Soooo sad!Returned and haven't heard from store yet!!!!
