Q: Is this safe for usage on the face?

Yes it is fine my daughter used it on her face for a rash that spread from her arm. With no problem.

Q: Does the item come sealed under the cap?

No, I haven’t seen any tube ever having a seal under cap. New to me, wouldn’t expect it

Q: Will this product work for intertrigo?

If the base cause a fungal infection, it may help against some types of intertrigo. The active ingredient is an antifungal that is active against many strains that cause that condition. Other formulations that also have some kind of steroid (usually hydrocortisone) are also available OTC or by prescription You can also double up by layer OTC hydrocortisone over top of the antifungal for additional relief, especially to redness and scaling. Just be aware though that a steroid cream can lower the inhibitory effect of the antifungal. Follow the direction on the back of the bottle, but generally it needs to be applied 2-3 times a day to be effective. Also, washing the area with a mild soap once a day will help. Depending on the location, you might get better/more results with a miconazole powder spray which will help keep the area dry and provide a barrier from chaffing. These are usually marketed as "athlete's foot spray" or "jock itch spray" but can be applied anywhere externally (not on eyes or mouth, etc. though). If you don't see any results in 48-72 hours chances are it is probably not working. Try another antifungal or see a doctor. You will want to continue using for 1-2 weeks after symptoms disappear as fungus tend to linger in unseen quantities for a long time. If you get this during hotter weather you might want to just apply daily until the weather cools.
