As a very serious golden retriever puppy and professional snack detective, I can confidently say this snuffle mat is AMAZING. 🐾💙 There are so many little hiding spots for treats that I had to use my nose, paws, and approximately 37% of my brain to find them all. 😂 It keeps me entertained, makes snack time way more exciting, and gives me something productive to do besides chew things I’m not supposed to chew. 😉 The mat is soft, sturdy, and has TONS of fleece strips for maximum sniffing and searching. My human says it helps keep me mentally stimulated, but honestly… I just know SNACKS ARE HIDDEN IN HERE. 🦴👀 Would absolutely recommend to every puppy, especially if you enjoy snacks, sniffing, and making your humans wonder where all the treats went. A fun little game to help your furry babies get through a long, boring winter indoors. My little dachshund schnauzer mix is a workaholic. He spends the warmer months hunting moles, and once it gets too cold he gets depressed. This mat helps provide the stimulation he needs to feel “useful”. The quality is decent, it has held up pretty well for what it is. I think it would be better for an older dog because it is pretty small and the green felt-like “grass” strips are pretty wide in relation to the size of the mat. It doesn’t keep my little dog occupied for long at all, but he does enjoy it. It’s funny to watch him race to find all the treats and then flip it upside down and give it a little shake! Simple to set up, but you’ll want to mind the fact that there will be crumbs stuck in the bottom after use. I didn’t want to put it through the wash every day, so I kept it in a large zip sealed bag between uses to deter pests. Amazon is suggesting squeakiness as a review component; I have no idea why. I noticed no squeak 😂 It is fairly lightweight so it’s easy for the dog to flip it over. It has a bumpy rubber coating on the bottom like hospital socks, but this does very little for stability as the mat is so light. If I had to do it again… I would look for a bigger one. But I’m not unhappy with it.

This has been a great solution for our fast-eating puppy. It slows him down and he is really engaged in the activity of finding all of his kibble. We haven’t tried washing it yet, so I can’t speak to the durability and longevity but so far so good.

Love this bowl. It takes my GSP puppy nearly 20 minutes to eat with this bowl. We tighten it up as much as possible to make it tougher for him. My major complaint is the smell. We wash this 2x per week as recommended, but it still stinks!

Sprinkle some dry treats in and let them enjoy. Plenty big for 2 small dogs. It keeps them busy and Dachshunds need to keep their noses busy. Good quality and easy to use.

My dog liked this. But. He shook the mat in his teeth and all the treats fell out. I do think it’s a good idea for some puppies. I have a yorkie. He shakes things.

I have a 53 lb German shepherd mix and this mat works well for her, mainly because it is so deep. She really has to sniff out the kibble and it keeps her busy. I highly recommend supervising your pet while they are using the mat, however if you do walk away make sure you check in on them frequently. My girl was was trying to extract some of the food and she began biting and pulling at the felt pieces; I'm sure she would have torn them out if I wasn't there. The second time she used it, she flipped it over and was trying to chew through the bottom to get to the food. This is the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5, as I know some purchasers may want to be able to leave their pets alone while using the mat. Considering the price, I am perfectly satisfied with this mat and as stated before I appreciate the deep pockets to hide the food. It encourages my girl to really sniff it out and forrage. I also like that I can open it up wider to make it easier for her or cinch it up more like a bowl to prolong the activity. I haven't put it in the washer yet but the felt is pretty stiff and hasnt gotten sticky or "yucky" as quickly as some of her other snuffle toys, so I've just done some spot cleaning so far.

Also ich musste den Schnüffelteppich erst Mal waschen, da er leider etwas chemisch roch. Ich musste ihn einige Zeit trocknen lassen, aber klar, das ist ja ein dicht genähter Schnüffelteppich. Meinem Hund gefällt er sehr gut, er kann ihn nicht so leicht zerbeißen und hat viel Spaß, seine Leckerlis darin zu erschnüffeln. Ich würde aber sagen, dass dieser Schnüffelteppich eher was für mittelgroße Hunde ist (ca. Cockerspaniel bis Australian Shepherd Größe). Größeren Hunden könnte der Teppich zu klein sein.

Sí recomiendo. Con mi perrita uso una salchicha en total pero lo divido a la mitad, primero escondo una mitad y luego la otra para que no hayan tantos pedacitos en el juguete. Cortó en rodajas y luego cada rodaja en 4 para que los pedazos queden muy chiquitos y se puedan esconder bien. Para la salchicha completa se ha de tardar unos 7 minutos encontrando todo, así que si recomiendo. Lo único es que no se queda pegado al suelo.

Bought for my parents golden retriever and he loves it, hours of fun!
