Silent But Deadly
We're one of those dog parents with children who need very specific food. One of our dogs has an allergy to poultry and of course most run-of-the-mill dog food and treats are made with old laying hens to be cost effective, whether they're ground up into the food or fat is used to flavor the food. On top of that, we've been told by at least 2 vets that this whole "grain-free" fad is not good for a dog's diet and so we looked around and thought we'd try this. The dogs seem to love it, even more so than the high quality dog food we were buying them before, which was grain-free. It's a relatively good price per pound, comparable to what we were paying for the other food. The only complaint is that our dogs have never been more gassy. I know, TMI, but it's something worth noting since we're around our dogs so much, especially now that we've both been WFH for so long. Anyway, I'd recommend it to others, so long as the occasional silent-but-deadly dog fart isn't a deal breaker.

Pure & healthy ingredients & a decent price makes me happy.
I like that the ingredients were natural & healthy. The value for the money was a huge plus! My dogs loved it! They had no problems adjusting to it. It shipped quickly.

Feed your dog like a grown-up
"Feed your dog like a grown-up" is not only how Nature's Recipe describes this adult dog food, it's what my vet told me to do. At under 4 months my vet suggested I switch my puppy to an adult food and this is the food he recommended. He even wrote it down on a post-it note for me so I wouldn't forget and told me this is what he feeds his dogs.I started my puppy out on Nature's Recipe Puppy Lamb and Rice and when Amazon was out of stock on this adult lamb I ordered the Nature's Recipe Adult Chicken and Rice . I have uploaded a photo showing the size of these varieties. Left to right is the puppy, then this adult, and then the adult chicken and rice with pellets that are a bit larger than this formula.I last ordered this here on Amazon in March of 2016 and paid $34.99 for this 30 lb bag. Shipping was free. My puppy has tolerated all the Nature's Recipe products I mention here and I feel good about the brand. It certainly seems to be one of the best premium dog food values on the market.I always try to remember to include the expiration and lot number information for the pet food I am reviewing. Here is what I find printed on the bag from my most recent order:Best if used by: 04 20 176025TP101743

Not bad
My dog didn't respond very well to this food. Had diarrhea and ended up donating it to SPCA and purchased another brand of food for my pup. Didn't agree with my dogs belly.

Best Price for a High Quality Food
I had been feeding my dog a limited ingredient diet (grain and chicken free) because he was very itchy. The diet helped, but the food was so expensive. After my vet recommended that I avoid a grain-free diet because of the studies possibly linking it to heart disease (I know they aren’t strong studies, but I figured why take the chance), I decided to start him on this food, which after a lot of research, I found to be one of the highest quality dog foods that isn’t grain-free. This does have chicken in it as well, but not as much as other foods, and I figured he would start itching again, but he didn’t!He and my other dog have been eating it for about and year and they both love it and have never gotten bored of it. They both have beautiful coats and are very healthy. I currently feed my new puppy the puppy formula of this food and will switch him to this at one year.I am so happy with this food’s quality and price!

Top quality dog food and really good service
This is a product that I was initially concerned about, having never ordered dog food through Amazon before. And while we had an issue with the first shipment [bag was torn inside the box], the company immediately authorized a replacement shipment. Anyone can have a shipping issue, so it's customer service that counts form me.As for the product itself, it seems to be extremely well balanced and of high quality. I've normally bought the Kirkland variety from Costco, but this is far more convenient, though a few bucks more. Still, I don't have to go get it, so that is worth it to me.The dogs seem to love it as well. I have a small/medium 14 yr old Jack Russell who is pretty picky, a medium size Blue Pit who is about 2 years old and will eat anything, and a mixed unknown of large size that is about 10 months old. ALL of them love this product, and that is particularly satisfying with the Jack Russell. I've used a couple of bags now and they've all been to the vet for blood work in the past couple of weeks and it all came back with flying colors. So as long as they like it and the vet is on board with it, I'm a happy person. I highly recommend this product.

Wookiee Approved
My name is Wookiee - I hacked my mom's Amazon account so I could write a review about this dog food. Me and my boyfriend LOVE this food. I sniff out the best pieces and put them on the floor so I can finish what is in my bowl and then eat the best ones for last. Sometimes when my boyfriend isn't around I will eat what it is in his bowl too. You know the saying - What's yours is mine and what's mine is mine. At least that is what my mom says all the time to my dad. Have a good day! Gotta go chase the cat.
