The media could not be loaded. I purchased the Morphy Richards Equip Black Jug Kettle (1.7L, Rapid Boil, Limescale Filter - 102783) and overall, I am quite pleased with it. The kettle is of fantastic quality and feels very well made. The sleek black finish looks great on my kitchen counter and adds a touch of modern elegance.The rapid boil feature is a real time-saver, especially in the mornings when every minute counts. The limescale filter is a welcome addition, as it helps keep the water clean and the kettle functioning efficiently. The packaging was secure, and the delivery was swift, ensuring the kettle arrived in perfect condition.However, there are a few drawbacks. The black powder coating, while lovely, appears to be quite thin. It can chip easily if you're not careful. Additionally, I’ve noticed that any water splashes that cook against the exterior leave a white residue, which is impossible to wipe off. It almost seems like the water splashes get burnt onto the surface. This is a bit disappointing given the price of the kettle.Despite these minor issues, if you wipe any accidental splashes before boiling, you won’t have this problem. The kettle is not cheap, but its performance and stylish appearance make it a worthwhile investment. Lovely kettle, nice colour, a little loud when boiling but overall very fast.

For a kettle this item is, strangely, aesthetically pleasing. It is very loud, but, very quick so the noise isn't a deal breaker. Niether is the fact that the capacity window DOES NOT LIGHT UP, annoying as this was a selling point for me. The kettle isn't being returned as the aforementioned points, although undesirable, do not outweigh the positives. Excellent design, good build quality and very quick in use. So, I bought a kettle on Amazon that leaked, then another with a design fault (Swan and Salter), both more expensive than this, which was on offer at the time. They went back and I chose this Morphy Richards one. Fingers crossed for third time lucky. So far, so good. I preferred the aesthetics of the previous 2 but no good if they didn't work. This, with it's flip top lid, is good value for money and looks fine. It doesn't seem to drip while pouring either. It's noisy but not compared to the Salter one. The blue switch (why are they all blue?) feels a little flimsy but it's okay. How it'll be in years time, who knows, but seems a good buy, so recommended.

I've had a few of these over the years, and for daily use, it's been excellent.Boiling speeds are fast, although, as with any kettle, over time they do slow. Its durability impressed me as has its build quality, particularly the solid handle.As an appliance used multiple times a day, the kettle's quality hasn't disappointed. Even when filled to capacity, it boils quickly and remains relatively quiet. It has basic functionality but is energy efficient and practical.

It's not great for left handed use, as the level gauge is only visible if holding with your right hand. It's so much noisier than my previous kettle.Capacity is fine, it looks nice, pours ok and works, but I wouldn't buy this make/model again.
