The Software doesn't install
The software on the CD didn't install on Windows 10 or Windows 11. I tried installing on many PCs, it always showed a message saying "Catastrophic Failur". Without the software, I wasn't able to use the device. I returned it to Amazon.

Did the job very well for the price
Managed to rescue a bunch of my mum's old family videos that were on camcorder and email them to her.

Cheap rubbish
Been trying to record from my PlayStation 1. For some reason it will only record a couple minutes. Even though it says recording until I press stop. Check video after and it cuts off after a couple of minutes, just get a black screen. Totally useless.

Video8 Capture, On Windows 10 with OBS no drivers required.
Worked very well on Windows 10 and OBS (which is excellent) no drivers required, the only issue I found was the sound maybe its the PC or default driver, but I had to go into OBS and add a Mic source which for some reason had the sound attached to it.Captured old Video8 tapes from the camcorder, quality was good around 3GB per 1 hour tape using H246 codec software and didnt drop any frames. (It was not a fast PC either)Hope this helps

Surpassed my expectations
I wasn't expecting much from this device at this price, but I was pleasantly surprised. Windows recognised the device straight away. I used OBS to capture video from my camcorder. All in all, this it worked for me with satisfactory results.

It was good... while it worked!
Quality was okay, as expected for an RCA connection. It lasted about two days, then it started to cut out, during zoom meetings. Then it just stopped working completely. Build quality is cheap. Easy to setup, especially if you are on Windows 10, as Windows 10 automatically finds drivers for it.
