Oldy (Maybe), BUt Goody
This book was written in 1992, and as a result, contains some information on obsolete equipment a few locations for fishing. However, the fundamentals of redfish haven't changed that much. For example, the fish still follow the same lifestyle and still exhibit the same feeding patterns. This book covers that in great detail, so it is still relevant. Also, the book does not try to be hip or cool in order to entertain, but is still very readable. Being new to redfishing, I found this to be a very useful book that helped me catch fish straight off the bat. I would suggest it as an intro to anyone who is new to the pursuit of this fine fish. Get it and enjoy.

Oldie but Goodie
Written over a decade ago. But, very informative and interesting for the fisherman or just for the bookworm.

Excellent book about redfish
I bought this book for my husband because redfish is one of his favorite fish to catch...but he had only been moderately successful. He said this book was wonderful and very informative...the best he's read on this subject. I should add that after he read it he went out and immediately caught two redfish; because I bought the book for him I think the credit should go to the book.

The Redfish Book
This is an older book, much of the information is basic and sometimes obsolete, due to the equipment now used and that hurricanes and time have changed some areas. I will look this book over and then put it away or sell it.

I am disappointed.
For the most part I have to say that I am pretty disappointed with this book. The positive: The author does a good job of discussing how to fish different presentations for redfish. The negative: I wanted to learn more about how to find redfish. I would like to have seen discussions of the following: the life cycle of the redfish and how redfish are affected by seasons, time of day, tides, moon phase, water depth, how to read the water, etc, I expected more!

Rudimentary at Best
The techniques offered were very basic...anyone that has fished in saltwater already has the knowledge that was presented in this book. I think I became a worse fisherman just by reading it.
