Does this work for moving?

Definitely not. This fabric case is far to flimsy. There is zero strength or structure in the fabric sides or bottom. They do give you cardboard for the sides and bottom but not enough to make it worth it. The cardboard dividers for the stemware box went together nicely but the pieces were so loose your stemware would not be safe. By my experience I also don’t think this carrier would be safe for my dishes even if it was in another box. Look elsewhere.

are there plate dividers to keep the plates from sliding on each other?

These dividers are made to protect your plates from knockings into each other.

Some of the pictures have handles and some dont. What's the deal?

Hi- This specific stemware storage case style comes with dimensions measuring 15.5" x 12.5" x 10" with square 3.75" and does not come with handles.
