Nicely Done!!
This came in as advertised and was the perfect size for my 1996 Goldwing SE.. After removing the outdated factory radio there was plenty of room to use the old radio cover as a mount point for the remote unit. A little Dremel work and it fit like a glove. Sound quality through the 4 new Pyle Marine speakers is outstanding, I also used the line out to control an 8 inch sub in the saddlebag.I love the fact that even when you turn off the power the unit remains on to shut off gracefully.Bluetooth works flawlessly and was very easy to set up on my android phone, I drove the wing over 200 miles yesterday in 100+ degree temps and there was no overheat issue at all. I am totally happy with this and I'm seriously thinking about another one for the Dune Buggy.

Great addtion for my 1993 GL1500 Goldwing! GREAT!
I have to say this unit was excellent for my GL1500 goldwing. The control panel (head unit) fits very well below the key location on the snap on panel. I ran a Kenwood KSC-SW11 subwoofer in rear trunk with the amp (had to a add rca couplers between amp and sub due to rca jack plugs being both female) It does take up some room in trunk but the sound is great and now I have bluetooth too! The bluetooth hooks up fast with my nano and android phone. I did also buy a rca to phone adapter cord and ran that front to rear as well for additional hook up method. Bought a USB extender cable and ran that to front also for charging purposes as well as feeding music via USB drive too...lots of music options with this unit! Im telling you that this sound systems rocks going down the road..SUPERIOR to the honda crap system! The control panel had red lighting when using the rca/phone adaptor/USB connections and blue lighting for the bluetooth. The source button also will power off the unit. Great value!

Nice unit for the money. Decent sound.
Installed this on my dock a few months ago. The control unit sees constant exposure to sun and rain, the amp is covered. I have it hooked to 4 outdoor/weatherproof speakers. So far it's been great. It's fairly powerful, and BT pairs nicely. Range of Bluetooth isn't very good. Other than that I'm very pleased. I'd buy again.

Not very powerful, but sounds good
I have been wanting to replace the original head unit in my 99 Cherokee for many years. For the past few years, I have been using a Bluetooth-FM transmitter to get the music from my phone to the radio, but those devices are, at best, a kludge that works, but only barely. And they usually occupy a 12V outlet that could be used for other things (dash cam or charging my wife's phone), or they get in the way of my transfer case shift lever. I'd had enough and this amp seemed like just what I needed.INSTALLATION was simple as I also purchased a Metra kit that allowed me to connect directly to the plugs in the Jeep without having to cut any of the factory wires. I opened the factory radio and gutted it, including removing all the buttons and switches from the faceplate. I epoxied a flat piece of aluminum plate to the faceplate so I could mount the control unit for this amp in the factory location and keep it looking at least a little nice. The amp itself is small enough to mount inside the factory radio's empty chassis—it's just held in place with a zip-tie. The amp has a female USB-A connector in the harness, so I plugged in a charging cable during installation and have it running through a small hole in the dash to power my phone when it's in a mounted cradle. This further reduces the clutter in and around the 12V outlets.OPERATION couldn't be easier. When I turn on the ignition, the amp powers up and connects to my phone within five seconds, then automatically starts to play whatever music was playing last. While it's not very loud, I will say it gets loud enough. I wasn't looking to go deaf or rattle the windows of every house on the block, but it seems to be about the same as the factory radio. One difference is there is no noticeable distortion at full volume (phone and amp) as there was when I played through the Bluetooth-FM transmitter. Whether that's because this is a better amp or because that setup was just garbage, I can't say, but this does sound nice turned all the way up. Having said that, there are videos out there that show this amp (or one of its clones) being tested and it is NOWHERE near 500 watts. That is just marketing lies.CONS: 1) I wish it had a traditional volume dial instead of the UP-DOWN buttons. Nothing is quicker or more accurate than twisting a knob to change the volume of the music. 2) The amp must have a "zero-bit mute" or something that forces it to cut power completely when it doesn't detect any digital signal. If your music begins with a relatively quiet note, or there is a moment of recorded studio silence (not nothing) before the music starts, you won't notice this effect, but if the track begins with a strong attack, the first split-second of sound isn't heard until the amp powers up. This happens at the beginning of every track, but it's only noticeable on the ones with a strong first note. 3) There is no way to adjust the tone of the music, except through the phone's music controls. My old radio had rudimentary equalizer controls that I could quickly and easily adjust if I needed to. Now, if I want a little more bass for a particular song, I need to open the iPhone's Settings app, find Music, then EQ, then choose one of the options. It's just too much of a pain to make those changes on a whim, so I've found one setting that I think I can live with and leave it there. As of this writing, it's been installed for less than a week. I will update this review if the unit fails prematurely or if I remember something forgotten this morning.

For Use in an Outdoor Island Patio Bar
I've had this stereo for several months now and it works great. My application is an outdoor patio bar that had a built-in "Marine" in-dash stereo. Yeah, it was "Marine" until the first drop of water hit the outside of it and then it was toast. I sealed off the opening and mounted another car stereo inside the bar, where it was dry. Well, technology catches up with all of us after awhile, and I upgraded from a wired iPod to wireless. Looking for something truly waterproof, I chose this Velex stereo. I mounted the control module (which comes with a motorcycle handlebar mount) where the original crappy "Marine" stereo had been, and installation of the rest inside the bar was easy. Good instructions by-the-way. There's also a red & white plug-in connection on the main stereo for non-bluetooth applications (for those that haven't gone wireless yet). I sealed the outer module in to the port that I cut out for it with all-weather silicone caulking. So far, the stereo works fantastic. And this winter in SoCal, we were hit with some heavy-duty storms that we haven't had for years and it weathered those storms great. So if you have these kind of problems with your outdoor island bar, this will take care of your problem. Hope this is helpful.

Nice amp
Installed this amp in my boat. Small footprint, easy to hide, easy to install, wires are properly color-coded. USB port is a charger and will automatically detect MP3 files on a thumb drive and start playing them in order. No head unit is needed if you just want to connect to a Bluetooth device or play audio files on a USB stick. Sound is clear and clean. Remote controller looks cool and lights up orange when the head unit is playing, and blue when connected via Bluetooth. It's been two weeks for me and so far so good. I'm happy.
