This thing is a beast. It is not one of those products that claims to be thick and soft, but then arrives and is a mere thread. It really is extremely thick and soft and heavy. You won't be wearing it around the house while you do chores, it is too awkward and heavy. But, when it comes to sitting around, surfing your tablet, reading a book, watching tv, or for me, while I am working, you cannot beat this thing for warmth. i think it is because of the way it drapes over your shoulders. it warms you in a way a blanket doesn't. It does smell strongly of chemicals when it first arrives but I washed mine and the smell went away. It washes up nicely, too. This one is a purchase I do not regret.

This wonderful item is going to help me save on heating bill this winter. I can keep my thermostat down several degrees when wearing this. And it's so cozy!

SAID I WAS GOING TO HAVE TO WAIT ALMOST 2 WEEKS TO RECEIVE THIS BUT GOT IN LESS THAN A WEEK...BONUS.....IT CAME PACKAGED VERY NICE IN A PLASTIC ZIPPER BAG WITH A PRETTY GOLD RIBBON TIED AROUND IT.....SO WOULD MAKE EXCELLENT XMAS/BIRTHDAY GIFT FOR SURE.....I WAS A BIT SKEPTICAL WHEN I ORDERED THIS....THE WAY THEY DESCRIBED THE MATERIAL IN SOME OF THE REVIEWS I THOUGHT IT WAS GOING TO BE LIKE A TSHIRT/SWEATSHIRT MATERIAL.....NOPE.....ITS A BEAUTIFUL, FUZZY, SOFT, CUDDLY SLATE GRAY COLOR.....IM 6 FEET TALL AND THIS GOES DOWN PAST MY BUTT AND ITS SUPER WIDE SO YOU CAN JUST WRAP YOURSELF IN ALL THAT SOFTNESS.....THERES A HUGE POCKET IN THE FRONT WHICH COMES IN HANDY FOR ME CAUSE I CAN JUST SHOVE THE REMOTE IN THERE AND NOT LOSE IT LOL .... THE HOOD ON THIS IS MY ONLY COMPLAINT....THE HOLE WHERE YOUR HEAD GOES THRU IS A BIT TIGHT AND WHEN YOU GET THE HOOD ON, IT KIND OF PULLS THIS UP.....COULD BE CAUSE OF MY HEIGHT.....DONT MATTER TO ME THOUGH....I DONT LIKE HOODS ....AND DEFINITELY DONT NEED A HOOD IN THE HOUSE LOL.... Everything was great and as advertised except that the product had a strong odor to it, sort of plastic smell that was unpleasant for me because I'm sensitive to smells. Washed it twice and even put it on soak plus put laundry scent boosters. Still has a whiff of same smell. I hope it goes away after a few more washing.Otherwise it's thick, soft, fluffy and perfect for a chilly day or night or if you want to save on energy and turn the furnace temperature down and still stay comfortable.

Bought two. One for the bed of an elderly frail friend. Beautiful, soft, ever so much warmer than the light blanket I was using to cover me in my big chair while watching tv or reading by the window. If you just hang it for a few days, inside or outside depending on weather, the slight odor from being packaged for a while, goes away and you will not need to wash it when you open the package. It is also good for covering someone in a wheelchair. Just tuck in the edges so the corners do not get caught in the wheels when you are moving your loved one around.

I LOVE this. I got one and got this one as a gift and it is perfect for camping and just sitting out in the cool evenings. Very soft and comfy. Just a side note don't put in the dryer and hang it to dry and the softness stays.

It's nice and warm a little bigger than I expected but still awesome I'm always cold and this keeps me nice and warm
