Bought this when my partner was so ill with Covid . Had to have the paramedics out to him and I was able to compare their readings with mine . Proved to be as accurate which gave me piece of mind . Ensure patient is sitting up properly though . Doesn’t give a correct reading if not . Also not a correct reading with cold hands . Would recommend

I bought this after a visit to the GP where my HR at rest was alarmingly high (like, running on a treadmill high).While awaiting bloodwork I bought this HR oximeter in the hopes of monitoring my HR at rest whilst I tried a few home remedies to calm my racing heart.I was quite frankly alarmed at the changes in my HR at rest using this product. My heart range varied between 60 and 100+, continually fluctating all over the place. When I read the instructions that stated 5 seconds of a steady reading should be taken, I knew something was up with my HR monitor as there wasn't more than 2 seconds of a steady reading.The next worrying sign was when my oxygen levels kept reading sub 95% (which ordinarily would be cause for concern).To test my theory that the issue was the product and not me, I bought an almost identical monitor. The replacement showed very normal O2 and HR readings and the 'blood woosh' meter (by the side of the HR reading) would wave up and down, in rhythm with my heart beat. The original 'blood woosh' meter didn't move at all, definitely faulty.I will return this product. NHS approved? I think not.

Tried reading the instructions which confused me so just put my finger in & it worked without pressing anything. The heart rate is accurate as I checked my pulse the old fashioned way not sure about oxygen levels or blood pressure but guessing they're accurate too. Nice & bright & big display with the added bonus that it switches itself off you've finished. Best price aswell.

Bought for my father during Covid. His sats test was low and he was admitted to hospital where he received immediate treatment. Great little device - buy one.

I thought this was great but within a short space of time it became unreliable and stopped working. I changed the batteries and followed all guidance but there is clearly something wrong with the circuit board. I cannot recommend.

Takes some time to get a reading - not ideal if patients are agitated - however appears accurate when compared to other monitor, and is sturdy
