Use with supervision
I’ll give this 3 stars. Ordered for my 3.5 year old who loves to “cook”. Most people say it’s super safe for kids, they are still able to cut themselves. It’s a good starter knife but not good for older kids probably. It doesn’t really cut so it slips very easily and more like mushes things instead so that’s how that cut happened. Please keep an eye on your little ones using this at all times. It’s eh ok.

Safe but not that effective
I bought these knives for my daughter who loves to help in the kitchen. We have tried them a few times, and they work alright but I do not love them.First, you have to apply a lot of pressure to cut with these. My daughter has a hard time outing down hard enough or at the right angle to make a cut. I also worry that when she switches to using a real knife, she will maintain that hard-press habit and could hurt herself with a real knife.Second, they don't cut amazingly. I didn't expect them to work as well as my quality grown-up knife, but my experience is that these give you a very rough cut. It's hard to keep the cuts straight and it comes out sloppy. It also can be a little slippery and, because of point one, the amount of pressure needed, it can be a stressful mess to try to cut with these. I've had food items go flying!I was so excited to try these out, to have my kids help me in the kitchen, practice a little autonomy. Now, each time I go to cook, I am hoping that the kids will NOT want to help, because these knives have been more stress than they're worth.

Perfect for little helpers and young cooks
My kids enjoy helping dad in the kitchen at every opportunity, and these knives give them even more possibilities to participate. These are very easy for little hands to use during meal prep, can be thrown in the dishwasher afterwards (unlike dad’s real knives), are great teaching aids for important kitchen skills, and after the work is done my kids have a feeling of accomplishment - especially once the eating starts. My kids recently prepped for grilled ratatouille, and before we knew it, we had a small mountain of chopped veg - and they loved doing it! Would totally buy again, and highly recommend!

Not Sharp - Great for Play knives
We purchased these for a cooking class online for kids ages 6-9 and they are great for back and forth sawing motion, but not sharp enough for much else. Not that great. If you are looking for something for kids that is safe and you don't have to watch them, this is perfect. If you want them to learn knife skills beyond sawing items, not the best choice. Find a nice, rectangular flat knife for them to practice. 2 stars.Great for playdoh though...Too costly for play.

Perfect Gift for Toddlers!
My 2 1/2 year old wants to be in the kitchen with me, so I got her some of these to help her cut up her snacks and have also read it helps build their hand strength and coordination (Thank you, 7 Days of Play, for the link!). She loves them and they are easy to handle and she does a really great job being able to use these and I have peace knowing she's learning and developing and won't cut her hand because they aren't sharp, yet they are still somehow tough and sturdy enough for a toddler to cut through food with! Thanks!! By the way, we use this to cut things from bananas to mangos and cucumbers to carrots, just to give you an idea what these can do.

Perfect for the kiddos!
These knives are incredible! The kids want to have their own independence when it comes to cutting fruits and veggies, which is fine, just without the possibility of losing a finger in the process... These provided just that! They work so well without being dangerous. Very very highly recommend!

2 year old loves cutting on his own
My 2 year old wanted to “cut” anytime we were preparing food. We keep our knives up and away from him. But it was getting difficult to do anything in the kitchen because he wanted a knife too!He loves his knife! So far only the smallest one has been given to him. It’s s good size for him. At first he was not strong enough to do much with it. After a week of dedicated knife work he mastered his knife skills. Cucumbers apples, bread, tortillas, cheese, watch out here comes a little boy with a knife!!!We keep this knife on the counter where he can easily reach it on his own. He knows it’s his and goes for it when he wants to “cut” and will get a cutting board and an apple and proceed to slice and dice and eat the apple. He loves doing it on his “own”Very happy to have found this knife and it is a truely safe knife. Cuts fruit and vegetables and pancakes and french toast and tortillas but won’t cut flesh. I tried sawing back and forth on the back of my hand no cutting whatsoever. If you have a mobile child that is after your knives and scissors this plastic knife is a great alternative for little hands!!!

great additional kitchen tool
I bought this to help my kid familiarize with different types of food so I wanted something that he could cut with safely without hurting himself. This is ideal for fruits, soft breads, avocado, muffins/cake...to the point where i'd rather use this than my kitchen knife! You wouldn't use it for things you need a more precise cut--chopping onions or half a tomato (you end up squishing it) or cutting a sushi roll--these would require something sharper. it's very easy to wash and doesn't any any nooks and crannies for food to get stuck in.It's a great price and I let my kid use the smallest one, whereas I save the other ones for myself! You might not necessarily need to go out of your way to get one of these--it doesn't accomplish anything that a standard knife couldn't do.

Safe but not working well
I bought for my kids to help in the kitchen. They are safe but not easy to cut harder objects, only work good on softer objects. My kids didn’t like to use them in the kitchen but like to use them when play with play dough.

Won't cut skin
I purchased this product so my children can learn to cut food safely. The knives don't cut skin, and worked well for my 8 year old.

Great set for toddlers!
My toddler LOVES to help in the kitchen so naturally, we had to get him these. They work so well, he’s able to help with chopping vegetables and I’m able to start teaching him knife safety also which is great.

Great for Kids that love cooking
Awesome little tools. They're still sharp enough to cut through things but great for a three-year-old who can listen to instructions.

Safe and made my kid a prep chef!
My lil man now wants to be my prep chef because of these. I love that theyre safe enough that you can leave a kid chop unattended while you do other parts of the meal. Worthwhile!!
