This is definitely a higher quality onion powder compared to the normal store bought spice. It is fresh and more expensive but again higher quality. Same great smell, better tasting! Comes in a large easy to use container as well!

Cannot go wrong with McCormick

This opinion powder is truly a very fine powder. Ive never had one like it but I will say the flavor is very potent to the grocery store onion powder I get from McCormick. I use it on literally everything that I cook or even a fresh salad! The only thing you have to he careful about is that it's so fine that you don't want to be close to the container as your shaking it out. It did make me want to cough a little bit. Also, it will clump at first if put into soups or something similar. I just use a spoon and mix it very well. Those couple things would not make me not want to ever buy it again and in fact... once I run out, I will be buying another container. Flavors really well and thats whats important to me.

This is a nice rich tasting powder that comes at a very fair price...Although it refers to itself as Culinary I have to say I really didn't taste any real difference and others that I have tried..I have used a lot of different onion powders in the past and in all honesty have never found much difference in any of them. This one is no exception. But that doesn't mean it isn't very good. I have used it now in a variety of ways including spaghetti sauce, home fried potatoes, and on chicken all with tasty results..Although this has an excellent flavor for a fair price, I still think my next purchase will be the granulated kind of onion powder. It's harder to find and more expensive, but I just don't like the powder. I almost all the time use this along with garlic powder that is always granulated and it is far less messy and easy to use....If you don't mind a powder this is a very good tasting powder...But I think I will stick with the granulated...

This is not the common onion powder you use tablespoon after tablespoon trying to get that onion flavor. Start with a dash, not capful or tablespoons.If you run out of onions, need the flavor but don't want to make a special trip to the store to buy onions-this is it. Sometimes even cooking with actual onions I add a dash. It is potent but not "spicy".For people that hate onions (only because they see the onion) substitute with this powder. I have cooked dishes when friends had previously remarked "I hate onions, I don't ever eat them."' I prepared their meal using this powder and not only do they ask for seconds but leftovers. Never knowing onion powder was used! They just knew the meal was delicious.Perfect for meats, salads, soups, and vegetables-specially those fried potatoes, roasts, and chili.WARNING: This is "culinary" quality, not your cheaper cost/quality types sold at chain groceries. It will save you money, enhance the flavoring to a variety of your dishes.
