Review: Deep black coloring to restore worn out black leather - seems great on first use - I do not know how long this dye will last on my leather shift knob (how durable it is), but my first impression is that it is really easy to apply and creates a much deeper black color on the leather than other leather restorers I have tried. Correct product?** A: This should work, I dyed a brown ottoman to black and it looks brand new. Just make sure that you use the deglazer to prep the leather and the resolene afterward to seal it. The resolene gave it a nice shine, not a shiny-shine, just right in my opinion. It also seals the dye so that it won't come off on your clothes.
