I’ve been using the Govee Smart Plug for a few weeks now, and overall it’s been a reliable, easy-to-use addition to my smart home setup. Setup & Connectivity Right out of the box, setup was smooth. The plug connects to my 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network quickly, and the Govee app walks you through the process step-by-step. Once connected, it shows up in the app as well as in both Alexa and Google Assistant, so controlling it with voice commands works without any issues. Features & Performance The timer and scheduling features are particularly useful. I’ve set routines for my lamp and fan — lights turn on in the evening and the fan turns off automatically at night. The “group” feature allows multiple plugs to act together, which is handy if you want several devices to switch on/off simultaneously. The plug itself feels solid and doesn’t block the second outlet on my power strip, which is always appreciated. In daily use, the responsiveness is fast — commands from the app or voice assistant are executed almost instantly. What a great item! It is seriously so easy to set up and I can automate everything from my phone! My entire room is hooked up and I can turn on the light,fan, and tv all from my phone. What an amazing item! Great value for the pr8ce of what you're getting!

These Bluetooth outlets are great! They work perfectly with my Alexa and don't have to be paired again after a power outage (unlike other brands I've had in the past). They were so easy to set up through the Govee app and can be controlled through the app or by voice commands/routines with your Alexa. If I need more, I'm definitely getting more of these.

These are great!!! They’re “Matter” compatible meaning you don’t need a separate phone app to control them and you don’t have to share your WiFi credentials with a server in China. They just work with Alexa - no special app required. I’m going to replace all my smart plugs with these.

I picked up this Govee smart plug because I needed an extra smart plug for the holidays and the price and reviews looked solid. Overall, I’m really happy with it. It’s compact and low-profile, so it doesn’t block the second outlet, which is a big plus. There’s a small manual power button on the side, but most of the control happens through the app, which is easy to navigate once you’re set up. I was a bit disappointed that it isn’t compatible with the SmartLife app like some of my other devices, so I had to download the Govee app separately, but after that, it connected quickly with both Alexa and Google Assistant, so that was good. The app offers helpful features like timers, scheduling, and conditions tied to sunrise or sunset, etc., giving you lots of flexibility. We’ve been using it daily with our Christmas tree for weeks without a single issue, and the design seems nice and durable, which is one of the most important parts. Other than the small nitpick, so far so good! Would still recommend!

Super easy to set up, easy to use in the app. It works perfectly. I needed to be able to turn on and off a fan in the garage remotely. It picked up the wifi without issue and just works. 100% recommend.

Just set these up today and they connected to my WiFi and Alexa in under five minutes each. I'm using one for a lamp in my living room and the other for a fan — being able to control them by voice or from my phone when I'm in bed is already a game changer. The group control feature is nice too since I can turn everything off at once when I head out for the day. Compact design doesn't block the second outlet which was a big concern of mine. Only thing to note is they only work on 2.4G WiFi, not 5G, but that wasn't an issue for me. Solid value for a two-pack at this price.

Got the 4-pack a week ago. Took a few minutes to go from zero to loading app and getting familiar with it, and connecting first plug (under ‘controllers’ in app menu). Added two more controllers today and it takes less than 2 minutes (probably closer to 1) to plug it in, pull up app, and have it online!! Soooo easy. All have their on schedules (under ‘timer’). Very happy so far … now what to control for the fourth one … ;->

I’m really happy with this product. The setup was quick and very easy, even for someone who isn’t very tech-savvy. The instructions were clear, and I had everything connected within minutes. One of the best features is how smoothly it works with Amazon Alexa. Connecting it to Alexa was simple, and being able to control it with voice commands makes everyday use very convenient. The device responds quickly and works reliably every time. The build quality feels solid and well-designed. Overall, it performs exactly as advertised and has been a great addition to my smart home. Why I bought this plug. First I bought a plug from Canadian Tire. I spent an hour trying to get it to pair with their app on my phone. It then wouldn't work with my GOVEE Themometer. The next day, their app had forgotten the plug. I returned it. Bought the GOVEE plug. It connected within 2 seconds. Setting it up in the app to be triggered by the thermometer took a bit of figuring but, that was all pretty figurable. So, I am happy with this smart plug.

Very satisfied with this product. Connected easily to the app. I bought it as I have a Christmas tree in my bedroom and I like to Leave it on while I read in bed. Wanted the option to be able to turn it off without getting out of bed and this worked perfectly.

The plug seems to work well and I haven’t had any connectivity issues. It was very easy to set up and connect to my wifi. I really like that they provide an API key upon request. The app is not terrible but could really use a hard look by a UX designer because the workflows are pretty unintuitive and not super flexible. I really had to get the old noodle churning to cludge together a solution via ios shortcuts. Worked in the end though and I’m happy with it. I’d recommend putting these guys on your guest network if you have one.
