Red rushes and a burning sensation on my skins
I am not sure if I am allergic to this product or not, but my skin was burning, and I couldn't use those patches at all. I place it in different places in my body, but no way. I used another patch from another company, but this rush comes for 2 minutes and disappears. With that patch is unbearable.

Really effective if you are determined to quit.
Very effective ig you really want to quit. You have to buy a gum to sustain your cravings

Long time smoker, trying to quit (again) and decided I would spend the money and use patches + gum to attempt to wean myself off cigarettes this time. I'm only on day three but I can tell it's effective but the adhesion has been terrible. I'll admit it's summer, and I live in a humid part of the world where temps have been especially high lately so that may have something to do with it. I'm not a particularly sweaty guy but it may be enough to affect how well it adheres to my skin. I've been resorting to band aids to keep them adhered properly. I did notice on day two, I placed a band aid over the patch and half way through the day the band aid started to lose adhesion so as I was about to replace it, I noticed the patch was no longer curling off on the edges and had fully adhered to my skin. It managed to stay on for the rest of the night until the next morning when I removed it. As far as everything else, it seems to be effective. I've attempted to quit in the past and the first 3-4 days are always the worst. I get moody and agitated, etc. I haven't felt like that so far and I'm on day 3 right now. I'll continue with the patch, and I'll see how well it works. My father used the patches to quit a long time ago so I hope I can do the same. Good luck to you and I hope we all manage to kick this unhealthy habit. Update (07/23/23) Well, it's been 10 days. I wanted to come back to update my review because I mostly didn't care for the adhesion problems and I knew that it was the heat/sweat giving me issues. I was correct. It's cooled down this past week, and I've noticed that they stick much better now. They're still not perfect, I can't just slap them on in the morning and go. I need to place it, and apply some even pressure for a good minute to stop it from curling at the edges but that sure beats what I was dealing with the first few days. I've changed my review from four to five stars. These patches are helping me kick my cigarette habit, and now that it's not 90+ degrees with 75% or more humidity, I am able to properly apply the patch without worrying about it coming off throughout the day. But seeing how I am updating, I may as well go ahead and give some more updates. As previously mentioned I've been trying to wean myself off cigarettes with these patches and gum rather than quitting cold turkey as I've attempted in the past. I've slipped up and smoked, which I expected, but I can say with certainty that these are helping me. I've gone from nearly a pack a day smoker to 2-3 on my weakest days. I still crave that morning cigarette but less so lately. I still want to smoke after meals but I've been telling myself, "give it 10 minutes and then decide" and that's helped me choose to not smoke in those certain moments. Just the other night I went out to smoke and the taste was just so off putting that I couldn't believe just how bad a cigarette seemed to me and I put it out half way. It's only been 10 days, and I plan on following through with their entire 3 step program which amounts to 10 weeks. I am confident that if I can cut back this much in 10 days, I can completely rid myself of them by 10 weeks. I may seem overconfident but the proof is there, and I'm never going to quit by dragging my feet and questioning my will to actually do it. Again, good luck to you and I hope we can all manage to kick this unhealthy habit. Final Update (10/03/24) Okay, this update is well overdue. If you notice the date, it's been over a year since I originally made this review. I didn't give this review much thought after I last updated it but I was reminded today and decided I would come back and share the good news. I am cigarette free for over a year now. Urges still exist but they're more and more rare as time goes on... I can confidently say these patches helped me get to this point. As mentioned in the original review, if you're looking for advice, I would recommend that you combine the patch with the gum and don't beat yourself up if you slip up and smoke a cigarette. Good luck!

26 year, pack-a-day smoker, decided I needed to quit after experiencing more coughing and breathing issues (shocker, I know). Anyway, this will be my 8th attempt at quitting. I have tried cold turkey, Nicorette (2x), Chantix (2x), Wellbutrin, and the losenges, unfortunately, each time I have gone back within 2 months to my longest stint of 16 months. This time I am committed after my 46 y.o. husband just had a smoking-induced heart attack so I do think I have more "will" to quit this time. Anyway, I am 6 weeks in and now ready to step down to 14mg patches. Last couple of days I kept forgetting to put the 21mg patch even on so I am ready for the step down. I am going to strictly follow step down guide as I have heard of others that just stopped using after 21mg but then started occasionally cheating...to full on smoking again. I put the patch on top of my bum below were my waist band sits (switching between R and L everyday). The patch does leave a residue that is hard to scrub off at times and I rather it be where no one can see vs. my arm where nosy people ask too many questions. I take the patch off each night and put it on after my shower each morning. I discovered in first week that sleeping with the patch on gives me SUPER BIZARRE dreams. I have showered with the patch on a few times and it did not come off as long as it had been on more than an hour or so before shower (aka non-work drag a** days :). I does have a bit of irritation (slight burning/ itchy feeling) for the first hour after I put it on but dissipates after that and I hardly notice it for rest of day. In first 2 weeks I did have quite a few cravings (5-10 per day), however, I used some of these techniques to get past them: chew a piece of gum (not nicotine), drink a glass of water, do something with my hands (brushed my cats, washed lots of dishes and folded LOTS of laundry, cleaned out all kitchen cabinets, pantry, linen closet and bathroom closets), took a short walk (at work), and in the car - which was initially really hard - I started brushing my hair with a small boar bristle brush to keep my "smoking hand" busy while driving. Good luck to any on the path to better health -- we really can do this!

These types of patches are very good if we want to leave the nicotine my experience of being disgusted with cigarettes highly recommended

It works for sure. I do believe that you have to want to quit as well as the patch alone won’t do it. I took a star off because I have these red squares all over my back. The patch gives me a rash, hoping they will disappear eventually!?
