Works well
Worked pretty good. I was wedging a small hatchet so the wooden wedge worked good but had to use the small straight metal wedge for the vertical expansion. So, yes it’ll work for you if you’re doing a full blown axe. And will work if using on a small hatchet. Just can’t use the round wedges on the small hatchet

Great for craftsmanship connection
Regular wedges work well, but these work a tad bit better. Not many people appreciate craftsmanship, but this really puts on a great touch to the tool.

Saved my old hammers
I’ve had the same hand me down hammers for nearly 50 years. The wedges tightened them up nicely so they will be passed on to one of the grandkids one day

Worked great and tightened my new handle like it came from the factory. My antique hammer is now back in service.

Tightened up a loosened engineer mallet. I have extra pieces for any others that might come loose.
