If your browsing just do it, pull the trigger, its worth it.
I really wanted to try a 1x10 drivetrain. My bike is a 2011 Trek Fuel 9.0 26'' with 3x10 11-36t cassette and Shimano XT cranks. I never liked having 3 chain rings. Very hard to clean the middle chain ring (If I got a nickel for every time I nicked my knuckles cleaning them) which I used 98% of the time. I hated having to adjust the front derailleur. And sometimes I got confused as to which gear I was in. I went to the LBS and asked them about changing to a 1x10 drivetrain. They wanted me to change cranks, get a new chain ring, chain guide, cassette, and a clutch derailleur (I must have looked really confused). Well thank goodness for Youtube and all the helpful Youtubers. I rode my bike on my favorite trails to determine which gears I could live without. I settled on the Race Face NW 30T to go with my current 11-36T cassette. I took off the front derailleur (Free at last) and removed the chain rings along with a few chain links. I installed the RF chain ring with new single chain ring bolts. The 30T chain ring is already shimmed and threaded (More simplicity). Guys I'm a total noob, it was easy. I went rode the same trails and wow, it was like having a new bike for well under $50.00. Smooth, simple, fun, and no chain drops. Best upgrade I have ever done. When I get to be a stronger rider, I can just get bigger chain rings. It also gets style points in my opinion.

The quality of this product is great, and I would recommend it to anyone
The quality of this product is great, and I would recommend it to anyone. The only small complaint I have had is that the red is a little light, and getting close to looking pink especially when up against a darker red bike like mine. All in all it is a great ring and hasn't dropped a chain yet.

buy best deal works fantastic
Nothing to think about, buy best deal works fantastic. Put a 32t on my 2x mountain bike and ditched the front derailer. Super smooth. Put a 43t on my specialize sworks with 12 / 27 cassette super smooth didn't have to do anything but put on race face and ditch the front derailer works great with original dura ace short cage rear derailer. I don't spin out on decents and can climb anything under 7 percent in the saddle above that its out of the saddle and a training ride.. I would use it to race most local road races. Not having the front derailer on a road bike is super nice especially at race pace. Thanks to Race Face for such a great product at fair price. I plan on buying more and going all 1x on my quiver and just swopping chain rings for deferent events. No worries with the right combo you wont spin out or be over geared .

Nice and easy, Love it!
Love it! I went from a 2x10 to a 1x. I replaced my two front (24/38) with this 30T NW. I have an 11/36 in back and all seems well for 90% of what I ride. I ride in the Pacific NW Washington. So it's a lot of trail single track, mountain climbs and of course DESCENTS! I will struggle a little more than before on the steepest climbs, but I get so much more in return. No more front derailleur or shifter. I made room for my dropper post lever. Now the controls are more simple. I coupled this RF NW with a rear clutch derailleur and now my chain is not gonna come off any more!!!! I used to drop chains on every ride and slap my chain stay constantly... NOT ANYMORE! To make this even better, the LIME GREEN matches my bike too! When my rear cassette needs to be changed, I will go to something around 40T for a granny low. Then, I think this will be perfect... Installation was easy too. I coupled the RF NW with my Shimano Deore Hollowtech cranks and it's like they were made for each other! I used my OEM hex bolts to drive directly into this chain ring. No need to buy shims or shorter screws if you have the right crankset... You don't even need to use the female side of the OEM bolts. The male side threads directly into the chainring.

The real deal
Used to make my 3x10 to 1x10. Worked perfectly with my crank arms. You will need mounting hardware for this. Chain hasn't fallen off yet and don't use a chain guide. I ride some pretty rough terrain and I'm surprised at how well the narrow/wide teeth have worked. Makes my bike look cooler as well.

Great Chainring, especially in 1xN and single-speed builds
This N-W chainring is exactly what I needed for my Ibis Mojo SL 1x10 build last year. In previous 1x and single-speed builds using normal (not narrow-wide,) rings I have had major issues with chain drops both climbing and descending. So far I haven't had a single dropped chain or other problem, and the ring itself looks great on the bike.

Narrow wide is where it is at for all mountain 1x setups!
Raceface has made a really nice looking and functional chain ring! The anodized green matches my deity skyscraper green pedals perfect. I have been on over 10 rides so far with this ring, on a cannondale jekyll carbon (full suspension) matched with a Shimano XT 10 speed cassette and a shimano zee rear derailleur, WITHOUT a chain guide! Downhill, XC, even skatepark and the narrow wide is no joke, not a single dropped chain! Just make sure you get your chain length right and you rear derailleur set up correctly. Seriously I took this on one of the rockiest fast steep trails in my area, nicknamed the "terminator" and the chain stayed where it was supposed to the whole way down. Even at the skatepark jumping and riding fakey from abubicas the chain stayed on tight.Seriously people ditch the front derailleur and try a 1x10 with the narrow wide! you will not be disapointed.

Perfecto para monoplato en subidas duras, buen agarre de los dientes a la cadena para evitar saltos y salidas de la misma
