Not great
Pulls hair, doesn't cut evenly, low power, fiddly head attachments. Use it twice and put it to the back of the cupboard.

Does not do as advertised
Very poor and not a shaver just a trimmer only

Comparable to the OneBlade
This product was clearly inspired by the oneblade by Philips, therefore I will do a review directly based on a comparison of the two products as I own both.Remington and the one blade feel the same in the hand, easy to hold and usable, they are both mobile items, both are water proof and both shave to the same length or at least I did not notice any difference in them. The one blade requires replacement of blades and I'm tired of buying the expect blades if I'm honest, don't know why there so expensive, the Remington on the other hand states a 5 year blade life, I cant comment on this, I will be back in five years.. However if this is true, then the Remington wins hands down. The one blade does cut the hair on the face much easier than the Remington, however the Remington did not pull hair it just means I had to go over the face hair a few times to cut evenly. Therefore the one-blade does give a easier cut if your in a rush but we are talking an extra couple of minutes for the Remington blade.Shaving and styling the intermit private area has always been a difficult one for me, i find the ball flesh getting trimmed with the hair a constant concern, the one blade is useless for this body area, were as the Remington was excellent, this is a massive pro for me. The blade guards you get with one-blade are truly useless, were as the guards with the Remington work a charm.IN A NUT SHELL:The one-blade cuts easier but is useless for the private areas. The Remington cuts the private areas excellently and the guards work flawlessly. The Remington is a better device to use in my opinion, the single pro of the one blade does not out way the pros of the Remington.Worth the money. I just hope the blade lasts as long as they say as its unremovable. the blade its self does look far more robust than one blades, and does look like a super mini head clipper blade and through my experience these last a long time. I also use the Remington head shavers and the blade is lasting on this item too, a little olive oil every now and then keeps the blades in good sharp nic.

Easy to use
Easy to use and found better than Philips OneBlade in terms of usage. I have both andI like Durablade, as it is easy to use and no need to change blade.

only useful for long beards
It is just a trimmer and not a shaver. Anyone looking for a shaver please do not purchase.

Excellent!
I shave face and head, so the spending on blades and shaving gels has always bothered me. Since I've always hated classic electric razors, I was dubious whether to give this 'new generation' of electric shavers ('trimmers') a try.The second dilemma was the choice between the Remington Durablade, at £39.99, and the Philips OneBlade QP2520 at £37.95, pretty much the same price. What puzzles me is that the Remington has only a dozen of not-so positive reviews, against the Philips shaver with over a thousand positive reviews, but neither offer a close shave: it's what they call the 5 o'clock shadow. The Philips requires to buy very expensive blades, which to me defeats the purpose. The Remington blade does not ever need to be replaced. Philips says their blades (£11 each!) last up to four months based on two shaves per week, so a blade is good for 32 shaves, but that's face only. If you also shave your head, I would estimate what, 10 full shaves or so, which makes it extremely expensive at over £1 per shave! The Philips QP2520 has 3 length combs, the Remington 4. Both can be used dry/wet with or without shaving cream. The Philips has a separate charger, which is annoying. The Remington conveniently uses any USB port, which is great when traveling. The Philips QP2520 needs 8 hrs charge for 45mins shaving, the Remington charges in 4 hrs for 60mins shaving.I have not tried the Philips but I believe that the Remington is a much superior product, so again, why it has so few reviews is a mystery to me. Maybe because it is newer. As far as the actual shaving goes, as said a 'fresh shave' looks like it's a few hours old. This does not bother me at all, but if for your own reasons (eg. work, social etc.) you need a perfect shave, I suggest to stick to traditional razors w/gel and do not buy either the Remington or the Philips. At the moment I have a goatee which I trim with the 5mm comb, cheeks are clean (use without comb), and head is shaved very close with the 2mm comb (or no comb depending on the mood). I look properly groomed and couldn't be happier, it is very easy to use, no nicks or irritations either. And all this with one tool, which I can use everywhere, and which is incredibly cheaper compared to traditional razors (or other new generation 'shaving trimmers' such as the Philips OneBlade).EDIT: After just a few months the razor is not sharp as it was. In fact the lower blade is quite dull. I have to shave using the upper blade i.e. going "up" which is quite annoying. One star removed....

Useless for beard trimming, other then being "ok" at defining edges.
Doesn't work. Spent a LONG time researching beard trimmers online as I'm fed up with them lasting a year. Thought the OneBlade looked good but wasn't prepared to buy disposable blades, so tried this. It's not the same design as OneBlade at all. I wanted it for beard trimming (cutting general length to 4mm and defining edges). It's just about okay at the edge work, although not easy to control where you want it. When trimming my beard (which was only 1mm longer then the target length) it just kept pulling hairs every few seconds, I had to go over areas many many times in different directions and still wasn't convinced by the result. In the end I gave up after one side even though I was going to a christening, the other side just wasn't worth the pain!
