CIPA 11800 Custom Towing Mirror - Ford, Pair, black & silver, 18 inch

This is my second pair of CIPA towing mirrors that provide an extended mirror needed when towing large trailers. I tow a 24 foot travel trailer. The mirrors are custom fit to my F-150, as they were for my Silverado. They require no installation, just slide them over the existing mirror, use the clamping bracket and tighten the hand screw to make a secure fit. The outside of the mirror is manually adjusted and hold solid with no vibration while driving. They completely cover the existing mirror and look like they are OEM. The come off just as easily when done towing. These are the best and most cost effective solution to having tow mirrors, unless your truck already has them.

Fit great, look way better than any other add on mirror. Easy few minute to take on and off when I need to tow camper. They don’t vibrate, glass stays put, no wind noises that I can tell. I can still use my power fold on mirrors, which is much more needed when u add the length onto mirror. They’re improve what I can see, but True tow mirrors can still see a lot more, but for what they are they’re great.

I've had these mirrors for about 6 years now. There were others in the market; however, these most closely matched the style of the existing mirrors. They go on easily enough and, with a little adjustment, secure nicely. The trickiest part is getting the little chock to line up behind the mirror with the thumb-screw. This is the way the mirror is secured to the truck. Once you do it a couple of times, it becomes second-nature. It takes less than five minutes per side, on average. Be sure to clean your truck's mirrors before each use to prevent scratching when you install them. I used blue painter's tape to protect the painted skull caps on the factory mirrors. The plastic is textured and compliments the truck. The mirrors continue to fold without issue. Enlist the help of a friend or family member to adjust the spot mirrors as you remain the driver's seat. They'll need to use both hands to move the mirror lens within the housing to adjust correctly. On the road with a 27' travel trailer, the mirrors stick out sufficiently to allow you to spot traffic down the sides of the trailer. Adjusting the view to allow your truck mirrors to work with the tow mirrors reduces potential for blind spots. Field of vision when reversing/backing into site is really good. You can spot the rear bumper and the tires easily, allowing you to assess your position in the move. Overall they work well. And when you're done, just remove and store them. Are they worth it? If you tow 24/7, maybe you should consider factory style tow mirrors. However, if you occasionally tow and don't want the additional size of the trailer tow mirrors full-time, then yes, they are worth it.

I have had these installed on my 2013 F150 for several months now and love them. these are the best add on towing mirrors i have ever used and i have tried several other kind over the years. installation on these are really simple you slide them on over your existing mirror and then install a slide in wedge between the 2 mirrors that you tighten down with a screw knob, this makes for a very secure fit with no vibration. mirrors are big enough for what they need to do and adjust well and stay put once they are adjusted. i would highly recommend these to anyone needing a great tow mirror at a good price.

Love the ease of installation, look and functionality of these mirrors! Slipped right over my oem mirrors and they work great. On and off in less than 30 seconds.

Purchased these for my 07 F150 to tow a travel trailer. These go on extremely easily and are secure. Much easier to use than the pair I had for my Silverado. The only aspect I did not like was the "wedge" piece used to secure the mirrors in place on the truck are not attached to the towing mirror assembly itself. Could be easy to lose. To help solve this problem I took a heavy freezer baggie, put adhesive velcro on it and the other velcro piece in the mirror assembly towards the outer end (where it wouldn't be in the way of the function or installing of the mirror). When I have the mirrors on the truck the empty baggie is tucked away inside the mirror. When I take the mirrors off I put the "wedges" in the baggie and velcro them in the mirror so they won't get lost during storage. The mirrors give great visability down the sideof the trailer leaving the only blind spot directly behind the trailer. The great price, ease of installing, and excellent view down the side of the trailer and all of the way behind you in the adjacent lanes make these well worth the money spent.

When I received these mirror extenders, I was excited. They were what I was hoping they would be. They fit great on the existing mirrors on my truck just like I'd hoped. They have no vibration when driving down the road at any speeds. I get excellent visibility from the drivers side. mirror just liked I was needing and hoping. I tow a 9 foot wide travel trailer and I can now see down the drivers side and also what is behind me on that side. However, the passenger side mirror is very disappointing. It adds no extra visibility on that side because the mirror is flat. It is not a slightly curved mirror like the passenger side mirrors traditionally are (Objects in the mirror are closer than they appear). This causes the mirror to be very disorienting as the images in this mirror are gigantic compared to the passenger side mirror already on the truck. This causes such a small window of visibility to be seen from the passenger side that it's basically worthless. The look and fit of these mirrors is great. I love the drivers side mirror, but I will still need to look for a mirror for the passenger side.
