I have owned a couple of these over the years. The black Rollerball I received today is really great looking. I purchased it on Amazon and did not worry about whether it was genuine. I did check though and there is a serial number on the clip. Fake products never ever (IMO) have this professional of packaging. Was it costly and worth it? Yes & yes. When you purchase something this nice and it seems too expensive, think about how long you could use something that is a pleasure to use and is also beautiful. Hopefully that will be for a very long time. Amortize the cost of the pen for how many years you think you have left. If the cost per year is really low that is a very good thing. If it is pretty high then you may as well purchase the pen anyway and enjoy it for the time that you have left.

My niece was very happy to receive this beautiful pen. It has now a prominent place on her desk.

This pen is about as close to the Rolls Royce of writing instruments as I've found. It's a beautiful pen: physically appealing, with a weight to it, a cap that slips off and on slowly, and has a feel in your hand that is both light but strong to indicate an ability to take on the most challenging writing that you do. Its gold details are very nice. In all, this is a great looking and great performing pen, and well worth the price.

Somehow, this wonderful pen manages to make my awful penmanship flow and look beautiful. I feel like Dickie Greenleaf when I use it. Highly recommended.

I love this pen so much!! My favorite pen I have! I have many Parkers and Cross, but the Mont Blanc surpasses them tremendously.

I am very pleased with my order. I have been using the pen for over a year now, I purchased additional refills from their website and couldn't be more happy with my order. I did received one that was rated as:Condition: Used - Very Good - Item will come in original packaging. Packaging will be damaged.Exactly as promised, pen was fine, packaging was complete, just a small tear on the paperbox.

This pen is a fake!! After having the pen less than a month, it was dropped 12" onto a carpeted surface and broke. The vendor was going to replace, and then I never heard back from them again!! After several attempts to reach someone, I was forwarded to the official Montblanc repair center in TX. I mailed off my pen for "repair" --- only to have it sent back with a letter indicating that my pen is NOT an authentic Montblanc. And now because of all of the runaround, I'm past any date to be covered by the amazon a-z guarantee!!I purchase a lot of items annually through amazon.com. I can tell you that because of this purchase issue, I won't be returning. I just want to receive what I paid for -- no more, no less!
