Review: Good light spearhead - Very cool spearhead. Be aware there is a small slotted screw that is intended to keep the blade from loosening, and the screw needs to be loosened with a small flathead screwdriver before you unscrew the blade from the handle. Also be aware that not all broom handle threads are the same. I tried using a wood broom handle with metal threads for the spear shaft, but unfortunately those metal threads were too wide. I brought the detached handle to the hardware store, and found another wooden broom handle with wooden threats, and that was a great match. It cost me $13. The blade is secure on the wooden broom handle now, and the blade is not too heavy or large, so it can be a good one-handed spear that’s not too blade heavy, if you find a handle that’s sufficiently sturdy. I recommend wood instead of aluminum or plastic. The graph paper in the images is 1” per square, for scale. The blade has one sharp edge and one false edge. The tip is sharp. I tested the spear with water jugs, and the spear works as intended. I can’t speak for throwability, as I have not tried, nor intend to throw this spear. Overall, I’d say was a good purchase.
