I purchased this to keep the sharp objects in my home (mainly kitchen knives and scissors) together in one portable place so I can lock them in my safe when I'm not home... My 17-year-old son got bored the first week of school being shut down due to the pandemic and slashed up a bunch of stuff, so he can't be trusted to be home alone with access to sharp objects anymore. Since I'll probably return to work before school reopens, I'm hoping this will avoid further damage to household items when boredom sets in again.That said, this case works almost perfectly for my purpose. I only wish there were more pockets for smaller items so I could spread my scissors out a bit instead of having them crammed together in one clump, which makes the case a little uneven when it's closed. But even with the clump of scissors, the case is plenty large enough for my Cuisinart kitchen knife set (my large chef's knife still has quite a bit of clearance at the top) and it seems pretty sturdy. I usually clasp it shut without zipping for easier access to my knives, but I do like the zipper because it adds more security if I ever need to take knives anywhere (like camping).

Bought this for my kitchen knife set, and cannot be more happy with it. Solid construction, space for all my knives, and a dedicated sharpening steel slot. Perfect for amateur or professional who want a simple, sleek carry bag.
