The best pen for Bible color coding!!
I purchased the sharpie art pen 8 pack of pens. I purchased these pens for bible color coding. They ROCK!! After searching for a year for the best pens I finally found what I was looking for. Some of the pros are as follows. These pens do not leave an indentation when I underline in my bible. You do not have to press hard to get the color to come. They do not bleed through the pages of my bible. Love love love this!! Sometimes there is a tad bit of ghosting but not noticeable. I have included pictures for proof. One has underlining and the next is the other side of the page. Judge for yourself. The case is perfect. I love keeping all my pens organized. They fit perfect in the pocket of my bible. The snap easel makes it easy to grab a pen.I haven't found much in the cons but 1 important one for me. This set does not come with purple. If you color code your bible you need purple. I went to Office Max and picked up a purple stylo pen they sell individually. It writes the same as the art pen and has the same cap therefore it fits in the case perfectly. For those who have left negative reviews about Sharpie because you got dry pens, etc. My orange pen was not performing as expected. The package had a phone # I called. They gladly worked with me to replace my defective product. Just take the time to call them, they stand by their products!SHARPIE, if your listening, my advice to you. Consider coming out with this product as a bible coding set, add purple and dump the brown. Advertise it for bible coding and you have cornered the market with a good product.

Pens wear fast, would not purchase again.
These pens were a real let down for me. I use them daily in my planner and find that though they work fine initially very quickly the output of their ink begins to stutter. This is terrible when trying to produce straight lines or color in anything so they do not make adequate art pens. After less than a month of use many of the pens tips have started to fray badly and cannot even be used for clear writing. I've attached a picture to show what I mean. You will see 5 colored lines (Grey, Brown, Pink, Purple & Red) The red pen I have not used at all so you can see how strong the line is from start to finish. Brown & Purple I use often and you can see how the line starts dark and fades badly. Grey and Pink are the pens I would say I use almost daily, you can see how bad the tip has frayed by how the line created is hallow in the middle. ( In case you're wondering, the nice thick black line isnt a Sharpie, its a Faber-Castell PITT which is a wonderful pen I've used for MONTHS and I'd highly recommend). In summary, these pens arent worth the price. I only gave 2 stars because the pen does at least feel good in the hand

Absolutely obsessed with these! They do not bleed and they last forever. I'm using them for my adult coloring books. Wish these weren't so hard to find...

No Bleed and Good Color Saturation
This is a fine set of fine-line Sharpie pens. The biggest bonus of all, no bleed through!!! Of course, if you really go to town, you'll get some bleed. These have the same rich saturation, but without the intense wetness as the normal sharpie pens; even cheap bond paper stays firm with no rippling. I was especially impressed with the lighter colors, they were very subtle without looking watery. I've included a sample (created super quick, so please don't judge on the sloppiness) to give you an idea of the quality. One other note, the opacity is quite good, and if you use a pencil as an outline, the markings erase nicely including that under the color.I really want to give these pens 4.5 stars not just 4. Overall, it's a really good set of pens, but the green colors are a bit weak and the pens drag a bit too much for my taste. The price is also a bit steep, but you do get that great Sharpie color saturation, so I am going to assume that (and the brand name) have something to do with the price. I have another set of pens that are my go-to favorites, Stabilo, and after doing the quickie picture and then writing with the Stabilo pens the difference was really noticeable. Nevertheless, these pens are a fine option if you are into bullet journaling, drawing or just like doing your daily writing/note-taking in color. If price is an issue, another excellent option for fine-line pens is Staedtler Staedtler Color Pen Set, Set of 36 Assorted Colors (Triplus Fineliner Pens) .I also added a picture comparing the Stablio pen Stabilo Pens Item 8830-1 Point 88-Fine Point-30 Color Wallet of Coloring Pens/Fineline Markers-Includes 30 Unique Colors colors to the Sharpie colors. Caps on pens only go so far to help in determine the actual color. Lots of useless colors, still great pens
I normally buy this product in the smaller size because it has all the necessary colors for what I do: taking notes in medical school. This larger package has one color I want that is not in the small pack: purple. It also has MANY useless colors. 4 different shades of orange/yellow and only one shade of red, really? They know how to make their money. Give us one shade of red and one useful shade of blue; the two colors that we use most. They go dry in about 4 weeks of heavy use, and then I order more.Am I upset? not really. These pens are great. They don't bleed through the cheap printer paper I use to take notes, they last a good while, and they feel great to write with. The reason I am giving this particular pack 3 stars is because you don't need 6 of the 16 pens included unless you are actually buying them for artistic purposes. If you just want to take basic notes, get the 8 pack. If you need purple, get the 12 pack. The 16 pack is a hoax.
