Good stuff

Good product for the price. Did exactly what I wanted it for to cut a couple of holes in 25mm thick pine. Even came with a spare pilot drill and spring. Only down side have been unable to unscrew the saw from the arbor as it's locked itself on good and proper. But not a problem for me as this is the only hole saw I've got so won't need to change it.

Can't complain, good price for the hole cutter, going to be used on gyproc and wood projects so will last long enough as all light work. TBH that's why I bought it due to price other well known DIY outfits will/do charge crazy prices, why pay that, when you get this for half the price. Heavier applications, however the big boys win out and your wallet takes a battering, it is what it is. But no issues with the hole cutter, easy to use,good size, nice clean cut in gyproc, performance wise the "gimmick" pilot bit with spring is just that a gimmick, didn't work for me. But yeah would by again.

A large hole saw that works

I bought this on previous reviews and comments thinking it would be suitable to cut through 25mm thick oak. Well, in fairness it did cut through an oak board, albeit with a lot of care, a bit of burning and smoke using my drill press on a low setting. Some issues were the oak plug was extremely difficult to remove from the saw, probably my error here as the thickness of the oak board was 25mm, I wouldn't recommend anything over 15mm as you can't get a screwdriver in to prise out the lug. On a similar note the hole saw welded itself to the arbor, after the one use, so I can't change the drill bit - its seized solid, and finally as you can see from the photos the red finish started to peel ( no biggie) . All in all it actually worked, ok a few issues but for the money I would say this would be fine for plasterboard, hardboard, 12 mm ply or softwood /hardwood to 15mm, but don't expect it to tackle anything heavy.

I only needed a couple of sizes but for the same price I was able to get this comprehensive set. Positives? Well, price is the main one, but also thus far they've coped well with wood, MDF and plastic hole drilling. Negatives? They come in flimsy individual plastic cases which are pretty nasty, and they do tend to get bunged up with the core of what you're drilling more than others I have used. However, overall I think it's a decent set ideal for occasional use like mine.

Worked a treat

Works well.

Works great nice and sharp. Getting the cutouts is a pain as the slots are so tiny, need a very narrow flat screwdriver to work it out. Some larger side Or top slots would make this a 5 star item.
