They're a ribbed material vs a knit material, so when stretched put you can't see the design.

SO MISLEADING
THE SOCKS PICTURES ARE NOT THE SOCKS YOU'LL GET!!!I was unpleasantly surprised when I opened my package today and saw the socks I thought I ordered we're not the ones I received. Still Elf socks, still cute. But not the "son of a nutcracker" ones that are pictured. Really disappointed.
