Simple and Awesome Wifi Extender
An awesome wifi extender. Very easy to configure and once done the wifi extender extends the internet coverage at places in the house where internet speed was slow earlier. If you have a wifi in one room and using your Internet devices such as laptop or mobile in another room with door closed, the wifi extender is a great relief. The internet speed doesn't decrease if you connect the wifi extender.

Easy to use and functions as expected.
It took less than 5min to set up through a very simple process. You search for the network, input the password and a couple of more prompts later you’re done. My WiFi signal was very poor in my room, about 1/5 bars at the entrance and nothing past that. It now has full coverage in every corner. If you then download the app it all becomes even better, you can control pretty much anything you need: changing networks, passwords, checking who’s connected to what and other things like that. It’s not the cheapest product but I’m very happy so far. Definitely recommended.

Easy to Setup and does the job !!
This range extender is so effective that its range is really very good and plus point it can be set up from your iphone/android phone by downloading the tether app from the app/play store. Lights can be turned off by going in the settings of the device, it will create 2.4 Ghz_Ext and 5 Ghz_Ext connections. Most important part is that it gives overall good speed of wifi for all connections.

Overall good but needs to improve WiFi range strength
Easy setup, supports 2 GHz and 5 GHz signals. Build quality is solid. Why I didn’t give it a 5 star rating is because for this price I expected the range to be more strong. I live in a medium size 2 bedroom flat and I expected the signal to have 3 bars. Unfortunately one of the rooms you get a one bar only. Overall good but I expected more WiFi range for the price.

This is a powerful unit and will cover you house well, depending on various considerations within your house. The only issue I found was connecting wirelessly in Australia to a Telstra Smart Modem Gen2 (made by Rainbow from France). Of course Telstra's fix is to use their Telstra extender at a much higher cost. Of course they will never admit their product have any problems. Note: Originally set it up as standard “Range Extender”. Then login to the TP-Link RE650 extender after connecting to the Telstra modem with an Ethernet cable and switch the TP-Link RE650 extender to an “Access Point” in the setup. This connection is stable and reliable. The TP-Link RE650 extender works great in this mode. I believe there is an issue with the Telstra Smart Gen2 Modems. I have used the TP-Link RE650 extender with a Netcomm modem with no problems as either a “Range Extender" or “Access Point”

First of all, these are dead easy to set up and the coverage and speed are both great. So good in fact that I now have 2. The first is boosting signal to the 3rd floor of the house which has a small home office where the wifi signal wasn’t great. This is set up in the default mode where the wifi signal from the main router (in the hallway) is detected by the device and booster and it makes a huge difference. The second one is set up to create wifi access in my workshop at the bottom of the garden which has been hard-wired via underground cabling (cat6a) which then physically plugs into the device and then broadcasts the signal into the workshop. You have to configure it to work in this way (I used the app, but you can also do it via laptop/PC I think) but it was extremely simple to configure and - again - works perfectly. The only hiccup I had, occurred after a few months and seemingly out of the blue, when suddenly they all started competing with each other rather than boosting the signal. I had configured them to run using the same wifi name and password as the main router in the hall (which you can do for seemless transition between devices). I’m not sure what happened, but I think it was to do with one of them being set up as an access point and all names being the same. Took me a while to figure it out (and I never even thought to ring any support lines), but once I had named each access point differently, it all started working perfectly again. I think if both devices were set up to operate in the same way I wouldn’t have needed to change the names, but as it is, that’s what I had to do to fix the issue and it wasn’t that hard to do once I figured out what the issue was. Certainly not enough of an issue to deduct a star. In my opinion, these are the best signal boosters I’ve ever come across and I would highly recommend. 👍🏻

Connects to both 2.4 and 5 g wifi but: its very important to know that it is an EU standards product which means you might need to change the 5 g broadcasting channel on your router from “auto” to any channel following one of these bands: √ Band1: 36-48 (36, 40, 44, 48) √ Band2: 52-64 (DFS) √ Band3: 100-140 (DFS) Band 4 (channels 149 or more doesn’t work) so you need to set the channel in your router to one of the above, otherwIse the extender will not detect your router 5g and will only see the 2.4g
