But... the build quality is head and shoulders above the pack. They recommend "Hatch Huggers" for my vehicle (Toyota Venza), so I bought those as well. They are a bit fiddly to install, but no big deal in the end. I use the rack to transport my Giant Fathom E+2 EMTB (battery removed) and it is VERY solid around corners and over bumps. Yes, the bike weight exceeds the 35lb per bike limit, but based on the fact that the rack is rated for 3 - 35lb bikes I feel that as long as I keep the bike closest to the vehicle I should have no problems. The straps that hold the bikes to the rack are excellent, and the adjustments are easy to make.
