DeWalt Accessories DW4904 6" Crimp Wire Whl Brush

Great wheel for polishing or removing corrosion. Very well balanced. My old bench grinder used to vibrate & rattle the whole bench with the Craftsman wire wheels. This DeWalt wheel runs smoothly & keeps its shape while doing a superior job.

I go through a lot of wire wheels in my shop and have learned that this one from DeWalt is head and shoulders above the rest. Excellent quality, built tough and runs smooth and true with zero vibration. Tip: For smoother, less agressive finishes on metal parts, use the side of the wire wheel.

I'm a blacksmith and this is the best bench grinder wire wheel for cleaning up metal before and after forging. Like any wire wheel, it will yank the work piece out of your hand if not careful.

Works great, only complaint is that I couldn't use the shroud on my bench grinder.

Awesome and worth the little extra vs no name wheels. Very stiff for heavy cleaning. FYI: Starts out roughly 3/4" wide but quickly fans up to an inch plus. I also purchased the dw4905 which starts out at 1" but fans out to nearly 1.5" and created to much drag hitting the housing and had to be taken off the grinder for the Dw4904.

I tried 3 other brand "X" wheels here on Amazon that all proved to be JUNK! All of them were so out of balance my bench grinder would walk accross the work bench at even 1/2 RPM! The arbor bushings that came with them for my 1/2" shaft were a joke they were worthless. These manufacturers must sit around and dream up the poorest piece of equipment they can to sell it cheap, however this piece of equipment is spinning at 3200 RPM...what could go wrong? Just by taking the Dewalt wheel out of the packaging you could feel the quality of this product. I mounted it up turned on the power and ZERO vibration. Don't wast your time like I did just buy the Dewalt...

Doesn't fit every grinder. Installed this on another brand grinder. And the wires rub the sides of the casing to the point it drags the motor. But was a good value for the money. Nice thickness very durable and functional but on my brand I had to modify the case for it to work.

I like that it fits well and there is less vibration on my bench grinder

This is a good quality branded machine wire brush with a high speed rating (in excess of 4000 rpm). This makes it suitable for use on most buffing machines with a two pole 50Hz induction motor running at a nominal 2880 rpm. There are similar brushes available on Amazon at a much lower price, but the delivery is horrendously long ( six months in one case) and their quality is unknown. I ordered it to replace an identical brush which has given around 8 years service. RHE.
