It is NOT sticky enough!!!
I NEVER write reviews yet I always read every single one before making a purchase on an item I've never gotten before. The search for the best transfer tape has had me on a mission for months. I decided to try this tape due to the enormous good reviews. How can they all be so wrong?? This is the worst tape I've tried so far!! I don't know how this got so many good reviews! The vinyl doesn't stick to the tape so when I'm trying to transfer vinyl to layer it was a nightmare! I almost cried I was so frustrated halfway thru cause if I couldn't get the vinyl to transfer then the whole thing is messed up and all the time put in to design, cut and now layering? I wanted to pull my hair out and throw things across the room! Anyways I just had to give my honest review, for me the tape is not sticky enough... Not even for regular vinyl. I do however love the burnishing tool that came with the order! Guess I paid for that cause unless I return this tape it will just go in the trash.

Don’t trust other reviews
Wow it’s so hard to find vinyl related products with all these mixed reviews. Well most of them speak for themselves when they say “I haven’t tried other brands”. I bought a couple leading brands to test them out for my own liking since there is no clear path to take with the polarized review.I came to the conclusion that people have no idea what they are doing. I just got a vinyl cutter but I’ve been working with vinyl decals since I was a child and then all through my automotive hobbyists life. You can’t just rip the stuff off and expect it to work. You have to pull at an angle that creates less strain on the side you don’t want to pull. You also need to cut on the right settings in the first place. If you aren’t cutting deep enough that will cause issues. Basically, any of these vinyl reviews if half the people got good results, than half of them found out how to do it right. It’s not so much the material or product it’s the use. If it’s too sticky or not sticky enough you can compensate. It’s pressure sensitive adhesive. That’s what all tapes are. The more pressure you put the more it sticks. Pressure is force over area. You push 1 lb with your palm versus 1 lb with your finger tip the end result it’s going to be a factor of 10 difference. If it’s too tacky don’t push as hard if it’s not tacky enough scrape the crap out of it when your transferring. Now for actual product review this stuff has a nice scrapper included inside the roll make sure you don’t throw it out by accident. The grids make it easy to use and I can cut this and the vinyl in my paper slicer which makes it easy to cut at 90 degree lines that way I can like it up nice. Also for variables temperature will also make a difference so rub it with your finger get it hot or use hair dryer or something. You need to Experiment with a test piece before wasting your vinyl as other users have complained.

Okay for regular vinyl
Like so many other reviewers here, I have found that the Cricut regular transfer material is too tacky for most vinyl and I could not get it to let the design go. This product is slightly better. It is harder to take up the design, but once that is accomplished it holds it until I get it placed and it releases easily. It won't pick up glitter vinyl at all, but then neither would the Cricut strong transfer adhesive so I won't hold that against this one. This is great for larger non-detailed designs but I did have some issues picking up the smaller bits of the more complex designs. Overall I think it is less work than the Cricut brand, but I think I will also keep looking.

Solid Choice for Transfer Tape
I read so many reviews of transfer tape here on Amazon. Don't waste your time and just buy this one. I use it to put vinyl on glassware and it's great. Also - when I was a newbie I would only use a cut of transfer tape ONCE per vinyl sticker. Reuse a piece many times - the less sticky it gets, the easier it is to put down a complicated design. Anyway, I own an Etsy shop and I only buy this brand.

Transfer Tape Prayers Answered !
Been having the hardest time with transfer tape. Decided to order Craftopia transfer tape and did not regret it. Did a project and compared Silhouette, Oratape, and Craftopia. Based on three categories initial transfer, transferability to product and overall look. Oratape got 1/3. in transferability it stuck to the glass no problems but, left a sticky residue on glass and I had to go back and press what the tape didn’t pick up when transferring to tape. Silhouette 2/3 - overall trasfer ok no residue but I still had to pick up pieces of vinyl in initial transfer. Craftopia 3/3 in all categories this product succeeded , I was able to pick up all Vinyl when transferring to tape on the first try and the overall look and transfer left a clean residue free project.
